Says more about the Uruguayan FA than anything else!
He's a gamble of course with his attitude but the good thing is he will still keep his value as on his day he is world class and proven at international level too.

His scoring record has been impressive wherever he has played but there is obviously a reason why he subsequently is then moved on by each club he has played for.
Only this summer he roundly reprimanded by his Italian team mates for lack of professionalism during the WC.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm surprised he didn't round on them for being shít at football.
If he professional enough to score 1 in 2 I really don't care about anything else.
You got a source for the Italian team thing. Just interested.

First few hits from google although I’m sure there are more. Was fairly widely reported.

All that shows it the he is a bit loopy but is a nice guy and does well to deal with the blatant racism in Italian football.
Is that it? A bit of standard racism from the Italians and the coach saying he's fundamentally a good guy? Not bothered.
As I stated those were a couple of the first hits from Google. Suggest if you want a better understanding to pursue further.
As I also mentioned it was widely reported.
I did google it. Found he had the audacity to use an iPAD on Italy duty in 2011 and the rest is just scapegoating from a world cup failure with no quotes. Just Buffon alluding to younger players of which there were a fair few in that Italy squad who had a worse tourney than Super Mario.

He was criticised by a number of Italian colleagues, his manager, and the Italian media, for his lack or application and professionalism. Balotelli then tried to plead scapegoat and turn the matter into a race related topic – which in turn (it is believed) was the final straw for Berlusconi - who had wanted rid of him for some time. Milan have been trying to offload him ever since.
Recall James Richardson doing a piece on it after the WC.
Which is fine but I can't really find any evidence of that.
Prandelli, who quit after being a massive failure, said “Balotelli is a good guy, really. He is not a bad person, but he lives in a dimension that is far away from reality.
“That doesn’t say anything, though. He is only 24 years old and has the possibility to build on this experience.”
Not bothered.

Sorry mate, but when you reference a guy who was nicknamed "psycho" in your username and comment on a players mentality .. Hard to take you seriously.

As I mentioned it was widely reported.
I suspect BR turned his attentions to Balotelli (despite previous disinterest) as initial targets were unavailable, conscious of time remaining in window.

Extraordinary piece of logic there…
So I take it you have had treatment for your crimson cranium condition?
Thing is Balo would do things along the same lines as Stuart Pearce would

Bit odd that you have chosen to compare a retired English full back and a 24yrs Italian striker.
I am absolutely gob smacked that we have gone anywhere near this freaking nut case!!!!! I was all set for a return to normality after Suarez and then this.
