Busby, I do rememebr quite a lot of articles slating the club for signing Hernandez on this forum or the old 606.
After the City game, Vidic and Evra were considerd crap by a lot of posters and pundits as well
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They were terrible that game.
It's no different to people raving about Anderson after one good season, same for Nani, who I believe you have been a supporter of.
Some people are negative and critique a player to early, some are positive and rave about a player who is crap.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I am quite fond of Anderson, not fussed about Nani. I personally like players who have the tools, which is why I was a fan of Bebe.
The only Utd player I have never taken to is Fellaini.
Shaw has 2 years of professional experience in the toughest league in the world. he was also one of the best players in his position in the last season. if you forget his age for a second, he is not a signing based on potential. Shaw is good enough to be a united signing with his current ability alone
out of interests, what is the best league?
Shaw being one of the best LBs in the prem is an indictment of the quality of LBs in the prem.
Shaw is a signing based on potential as he has not shown anything so far to warrant a 30m transfer.
I can provide you with a list of players who have shown potential at an early age and went on to do fk all.
Scholes himself said for the money Shaw was signed, he would expect a proven 30 goal a season striker.
So you cannot have it both ways. If you want experienced signings, Shaw is not one.
Out of interest, Azpilicueta and Baines both had better seasons than he did
30m prize tag is irrelevant, He is one of the best players in his position in the toughest league in the world, that is sort of standards we should be looking for when signing players
What makes the prem the toughest league in the world? How did you arrive at that conclusion?
what makes you think PL is not the toughest league? if not, What is the toughest league?
How many teams in the PL have won the league since its inception?
I would say apart from the top 2, La Liga is the toughest league
