Don't we'll sign anyone else tbh.

I still think we'll get at least one if not 2 more players, gonna stick my neck on the line and say Di Maria WILL be one of them think positive

transfer deadline day is going to be tasty. Was on the edge of my seat last year when Fellaini signed..lol

If we don't sign a cm that resembles a footballer I'll cry.

Khedira would be a huge signing for us. Would give a much needed presence in midfield.

#Robb a big signing earlier gives others more confidence in joining. We could definitely do with some first teamers at this stage but leaving it late makes it look like panic buys

Remember this time last year Arsenal fans were all crying into their sippy cups, then Ozil and his big goggly eyes pop up in North London and all is well again

There are 11 days to go not 7. Talk sport questioned earlier whether clubs were delaying bug signings to save paying the players wages and gaining interest on the money in the meantime. Seems laughable but wouldn't out it passed us .

pretty sure Daley Blind will sign for you guys, he has been told he can leave apparently

If we're honest, we're pining all our hopes on LVG mentioning Di Maria in a throw away comment.

No reports suggest that we are actually in fr anybody, no quotes or solid evidence, in fact it points in the opposite direction.

Common sense would tell you we will get another couple of players in, but it's tough to tell with the way the club has acted in previous windows.

We will probably keep our cards close to our cheat until deadline day.

BB, that's true. It's hard to say because we've not been playing it all out in the media.

Rojo and Herrera links in the media only started gathering pace a few days before the signings were actually made.

Shaw had been touted for a while, but it's not like his transfer had been played out like the supposed transfers of Cesc, Vidal and Di Maria, for example.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Yeah with the signings we have made we've kept them fairly quiet which is the right way to do things

I don't think there's any right or wrong way in that respect. It doesn't really make any difference.

They'll be more going out than coming in. I'm sire a few of the young lads might go on loan in the next week. Also Ando and Hernández will probably leave.

Makes it less likely that the deal will be ambushed, shows more respect to the club you're looking to purchase from (potentially making negotiations easier) and it saves you getting egg on your face when the signing isn't delivered. Ref: Last Summer

merry, yeah perhaps, the last bit is especially true. But clubs just have their own way of doing transfers. Some are coy about them and some are quite open. No right or wrong way for me.

I suppose the advantage to playing it out in the open is that at least for us fans we know who the club are targeting. You only have to look at the frustrations of the people on this board this summer due to not knowing what is going on to see the negative side of the coy approach to transfers.

It's no different to previous windows really, I expect most of our actions to happen on the final day, much like last year. Whether we'll be able to bring in what we need, who knows (and I include the club in that statement and that is part of the problem).

We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Signing Di Maria wouldn't address the problem of having a pi$$ poor midfield

posted on 21/8/14

That is true. It'd just address the problem of having pi$$ poor wingers.

Haha, I never thought of that
