I just got trumped. I thought Carroll would be going to QPR. Nice deal. finally loaning our talent to premiership teams.
Does them a world of good as long as they play.
It should be perfect but it's now or never for Tom I think. He wasn't popular at QPR or Derby in his previous loans. I like him and I'm happy I get to see more of what he's up to at a Prem team who play good footie
excellent loan for him providing he plays.
I think this is a great move for him because I don't think he will get the minutes at Spurs and Swansea's style should suit him. Hopefully he will get a lot of game time and come back to do well.
Brilliant loan and a brilliant club to play for especially as our Tom likes to pass the ball.
Lets hope he seizes the chance because as some have said its make or break for him this season i think.
Last chance for him imo. If he doesn't make an impact it will be time to sell him next year.
He'll get to join up with Siggy again

Negative +/- = Tom Carroll on loan

Livermore and Huddlestone have made a career for themselves. So can Carroll even if it's away from the lane.
Sadly unless he starts scoring goals. He may fall into the 'Mark Noble' equivalent. Tidy player but not top class or even Top 6.

Would rather we just sell him on. He's not good enough for us, especially if we want top 4.

Sorry Bennyville just a lil tired of Top 4 chat. the key is he good enough to contribute to a squad capable of winning games. (FA Cup, Europa League, League and League Cup). this should be the question not TOP 4. If you still think Carroll cannot contribute to any glory in any of those competitions then fair enough.
As Fans we need to look at the bigger picture. This club was not built on Top 4 finishes.
I had high hopes for him about 3 years ago, but every manager that has came in just doesn't fancy him.
Just another Jay Spearing.
He doesn't want to be a squad player at Spurs his whole career.

I don't see how scoring goals is relevant for a playmaker.. Modric made a decent career for himself and he still can't shoot. Assuming he gets game time it should be a great move for him.
