Soon I think, we're still probably playing out the anxieties of last season and the expectation on us is greater this year. I'm not getting too worried unless we really start to struggle whilst the rest of the promotion pack saunter away into the distance.

One thing I hope is that we don't start getting on the players backs (especially this early in the season,) It's not productive at the best of times but I think the whole squad needs to see that the fans are still 100 percent behind them after what happened in the P.O final.

Totally agree Derbymanc, No place for boo-boys while we find our rhythm

Remember Sunderland coming to Derby winless after more matches than this and turning us over. Mind you we did achieve promotion that season, as did Sunderland.

Oh to have the dominant football we showed against Brighton. Hope we start with Will in central midfield today.

Enjoyed the atmosphere v Rotherham (we were in the SW) - S Stand were excellent
Need that noise level to keep going when we're under the cosh and get the other parts of the ground going too!

In think as soon as Keogh 'clicks' the team will click. He's nervous and needs a good game to build his, and the team's, confidence.

Come on Keogh

It certainly looks thus far that Steve decided to give the team that finished last season their chance at the start of this one, nothing wrong with that but the Thorne injury has thrown us out of sync with Will having to play deeper hence losing out on his creativity.

Add to that some crucial players not appearing to be up to speed then maybe it's not as bad a start as it may seem.

Let's get back to basics, bring John in, move Will further up, use Dawkins as an impact sub and if we do bring Best on don't play him on the wing.

Some tough decisions for Steve to make but make the right ones and this day next week with 3 home games, we could be 6pts better off and in the next round of a cup.

Yep, keep the noise going, get behind Keogh, it'll do him the world of good.
Igor: certainly want Will further forward - it's much more likely to bring Martin into the game effectively, and we all know what happens then.

Sorry to keep banging on about the support Moj, but apart from buying tickets and merchandise, it's the only thing we as fans can do to influence what happens out on the pitch.
Amazes me how many sit & moan or spend half the game playing with their mobiles
Shout up lads & lasses!

We're going to come good. More than a few key players have yet to find their mojo. I do worry that this game may not be the one though. A combination of Fulham eager to prove a point and confidence sapping high expectations from the crowd.

More so than ever an early goal will help calm nerves and bring out the best in us (players and fans).

My first home game of the season. Looking forward to it.

Larry, I echo that

Finaly I get to go to a game. The 'fidgetness' is palpable though and Mojaca, yes, we're still waiting to 'click'.

I cannot understand the Eustace dilemma unless McClaren thinks that with a player in his twilight years, he HAS to have a very viable alternative as shown by viewing Hughes in that role - is it working?

Are we more advantaged in playing Hughes in that position and not in his more favoured forward role without Eustace...

OR

Is it better to play a solid pro like Eustace - with any accompanying risks - with Hughes in his natural place?

Or, where the feck is the match thread.

Yeah, that should be your opening View !

that's you told View!

I'd play Eustace myself, and have Hughes where he should be, but:

a) What do I know, and:

b) In Mac we trust.

Ang: agree re the support/mobiles...it happens at gigs too, drives me mental!

Agree Mojaca.

...and

Big news this week as Kate Bush has pleaded with her fans NOT to record and view through mobile devices.......

And what Kate Bush asks, Kate Bush gets.......

It's a modern phenomenon, Moj.
Because of all the screen watching we do these days, people have become less vocal & interactive.
