Should have shut up shop at 2-1 either stones or besic, but I never feel confident when we are under the cosh.

Tactical genius is Robbie!

Mcready (as good as he is) was the wrong move IMO. If we had pushed Naismith up top and put Besic on as attacking mid it would have kept the balance, but what do I know right!?

Glad you think so highly of him. Suppose he was nearly your manager at one point.

Owned the game, more like owned the ref he gave some terrible decisions mainly in your favour.

Isn't besic more defensive minded? Would have maybe bought atsu on (even though I haven't seen much of him) for his pace near the end of the game. Then besic to close it out. Gutted but in all honesty would have taken a point before the game.

He did, i must adnit that at one point I thought we were the new united groovy. It is all out of our hands though, hindsight is a wonderful thing

I think the fact that the arsenal players started diving into challenges didn't help.

I can't see besic as a defensive mid, Mr Reasonable

Not seen him play for us yet, but he played that position in the world cup didn't he? Plus he used to be a centre half. If I am honest I am not 100% sure as I haven't seen him play.

From what I have seen he plays the through ball so more attacking...

Everton gifted Arsenal a way back by sitting too deep, hardly troubled the Arsenal halfway line second half. Arsenal were very poor and yet managed to grab a point.

Completely agree. Same thing we did second half against Leicester.

I really was afraid of this happening, there is a little bit of the arrogance about Roberto in the total belief he is always right. 10th is at this stage not to bad but if this becomes 3 points out of 9 we will be on the way to being Wigan.

Didn't deserve point? Good joke. You never deserved to be 2 up. And your first goal came from your only decent attack up to that point and first shot. And the 2nd was offside. And the ref was ridiculous with the home bias.

McGeady is a sham of a player he is not one bit good.

I'm failry confident I've seen him play live allot more then you have (if I'm wrong I apologise) but I've seen just about every game he's played for ROI so over 50 games and he is muck.

The odd wonder goal does not make up for the fact that he has basically no end product, can't run with his head up and can't do two good things in one move.

Like he will beat a man but play a terrible pass or cross, or he will make a great run then fluff his lines.

He's a wasted shirt not good enough for Everton's aspirations.

m.o.n.g Everton destroyed you first half and allowed you back in second half.

More excessive use of smileys and more words you'd expect from a pre-teen yob. Seems your Arsenal board ban has made you a bit ill.

Reasons and Wonder!!!!! Desroyed our rythm and flow down the left with the injury to Pienaar in the first minutes didn't help (need Oviedo back and back quickly) McGeady mediocre and just a make weight, £28 Mill for a non-striking striker. To cap it all 2 games in and Martinez talking about us running out of energy. Shouldn't have been said Roberto, get back to the sustained play and confidence of last year. Even at 2 up the lads didn't look confident, so something has gone wrong in pre-season planning.

I agree with OP.

Martinez is usually spot on with his subs, so I was bewildered he took off Lukaku?

Maybe do so with 5 minutes to go...But doing so with more than ten minutes of the game to be played, you handed the intiative.

The second goal was a cluster of errors.

Your two full backs were impressive though

posted on 24/8/14

A none striking striker?

The one who was in the right spot for the first goal but the cross was overhit.

Or the second where he destroyed Arsenal with his power and pace to assist in Naismiths goal?

posted on 24/8/14

Wouldn't say the cross was over hit, great run my Coleman who shouted because he had the better chance.

Besic, I do not disagree with you about his ability or contribution as a supplier but he has dry now for a while since the end of last season. You as I should be expecting more from a £28 Million investment.
