Not sure I have seen a more dramatic improvement in a player in a long time.

Ramsey?
If he was wearing the red of Arsenal, his fans would undoubtedly be calling him world class based on that

Very true, 5 from me
Those aRSENAL FANS don't talk about Sanchez and Ozil as having failed so far..
Sanchez : Played 2 Goals (NADA- ZILCH)

How often did you watch Lamela last season?
Sanchez will be best winger in world football once he settles in.

When he settles in?
Doesn't that apply to Lamela and Soldado?
Your pea brainers fans now talking about time to settle in
If I use Arsenal logic, then Ozil and Sanchez are already total failures
King, saw almost every game last season but he was injured for most. Those he did play he was slightly disappointing.
Ramsey, yes, fair call..
What a difference a decent manager makes
To be honest - the only people that thought he'd be rubbish were the typical arm chair fans.
It was always obvious that he had talent.
That being said, he still needs to do way more this season.
Didn`t Spurs waste £110 million last season, on a team that is sitting top of the prem. Not quite sure how that works.
Watch Don appear and claim he always knew Lamela would come good. <fickle>
I for one doubted whether he had the strength of character to recover such a confidence knocking first season.
He looked very good today, strong, quick, eye for a pass etc, shame he didnt score
I though Erik was excellent today (despite a very poor QPR side) and really deserved a goal. I wish he had just tonked it when he decided to cut back on his left against Rio in the 2nd half. That side of his game will come though; slowly slowly catch a monkey...

Lamela deserved a goal from either of the games this week.
That will come soon enough.
I don't think it was ever his ability in question, moreso his mental strength.
If he doesn't adapt to this league he'll still go to a top club and establish himself there as his talent is undoubted. Although it looks like he could be settling now and honestly bringing in Poch could be a masterstroke purely just for getting the best out of Lamela.
Unfortunately a price tag like that brings pressure and instant expectation and some more ignorant people use it as a stick to beat him with.
Why are you guys so incredibly secure? Is it impossible to praise your player without mentioning Arsenal or an Arsenal player?
I heard Capoue was the new Viera last season after a first great performance too. I also remember Palacios ran us ragged at the Emirates in his first Spurs appearance and turned out utter sheite. Perhaps pipe down a little and return after a good run of games, so you don't look as silly as you ALWAYS do season after season when you gob off.
As for Lamela, his talent has never been in doubt. There have been many "new Maradonnas" from Argentina who fail. The confidence of a new boss who has put faith in him may help him. Then again, it may be a false dawn. I remember he had a cracking Europa game against some minnow side last season and was expected to kick on,but didn't.

If you say so. Not a particularly original charade. Must try harder.

It does help if the manager doesn't leave you out for the next couple of games!
He was left out cos he was poor. You can't blame the manager for selecting players on merit. I'm sure if he did the revese and kept playing a player who was poor, you'll still give him stick.

Don knows more than you obviously.
You only waited 1 year for him to have a good game for Spurs. £30M well spent there.
