Breaking by @DiMarzio: agreement reached between Samuel Eto'o and Everton. #EFC
Rumours saying we want welbeck on loan as well as eto'o, time will tell but both would be fantastic
Eto'o would give great experience and help out Lukaku/Long.
Wellbeck would be perfect as he is a running machine. Put pressure on defenders and helps retain possession. He just needs to sharpen up his finishing, but 10-15goals would be a good return
Just looked and eto'o scored 9 in 21 last season much better than I thought
Agreed Besic
Plus Welbeck can play out left, not ideal but he does a job(could be part of a front three with rom, Mirallas and Danny)
I agree with wellbeck. Although I still think eto has something to offer.
If we do sign someone,I hope it's not Naismith that makes way. That guy has been playing out of his skin, and more than deserves to be in the starting 11.
I think the new striker will be more of a back up to Lukaku rather than a Naismith replacement
Cup games included we could be playing around 60 games this season so striker rotation will be vital
Hope so heads, there always seems to be fall guys in a team,Naismith and Osman seem to be ours.
Ossie, Naismith.......Hibbo.
They are players all clubs need and are doing a job I would love to do. They are everything the club stands for in my opinion
Lukaku transfer request next
He don't like it up him
Lukaku transfer request next
This has already been done.
Eto'o will be on 55k apparently
I'm not so sure about Eto'o to tell you the truth, but we needed a striker, and there's worse out there.
55k a week sounds like a lot of money, but aworthwhile gamble if his goals deliver CL/EL football next season.
Plus his experience will help the squad and help develop Lukaku and Long. As long as he doesn't mind being backup to Naismith
Just over 300 goals in just over 600 appearances at the highest level possible and 77 assists for Eto'o - nothing else needs saying!
If we could land Welbeck on top of Eto'o then I would be happy
Can't see us getting Welbeck as well, would have preferred Welbeck to Eto'o to be honest.

If the reports of a two year deal at £70k a week are correct then i would prefer Welbeck as he will have resale value.
