he's been a great servant for madrid

No worries, you've got a fat waiter at the club now.

Good luck to Casillas, though. A true legend for Madrid.

You'll get no sympathy from me. We went from Ronaldo to Valencia and Fergie to Moyes.

madrid under perez make some terrible errors with players it has to be said

compare iker's departure with that of xavi or puyol from farza

no comparison..

Thanks Peks. It must be gutting to see how a club legend has been treated by the club. Many idiots on the site might have not seen him in his prime but I did, every week. He was during a period the best keeper in the world for me. He deserves better than what he has gotten. The club did nothing to protect him from that piece of §hit Mourinho who ultimately broke him and led to his decline. They have a right to be angry.

Perez is a caaaant.

posted on 13/7/15

Perez's a cant, but as much as Iker's parents single him out, Mourinho and his cult are just as much to blame.

It's largely the worshippers he left behind who've campaigned against Casillas until they've finally hounded him out.

They're a plague, a scourge and a disgrace to the club. They should just fúck right off and go and support Chelsea. They have no place here.

Real once again treat a hero like crap, it's sad but every club has it's weaknesses and that's certainly one of Real's.

Does Real have a strength?

Funny you should mention Gazza. He deserve to be in Henrik's team.

AU, imo Madrid's biggest problem with these players is the huge multi-year contracts they hand them - especially the ones who've come through the academy system. They are precisely the ones who we'd most like to end their playing days at the club, but I do think the actual players need to take a look at themselves sometimes.

Coming through the club's youth setup obviously makes them immensely popular (and hence heavily overrated by the club's own). Having been treated like demigods for so many years, when it becomes apparent they're no longer starting XI material they're almost invariably reluctant to accept their new status. Their salaries are in no way justified for a squad player, but as they start to come under fire from all directions they become estranged to a point that they never seem willing to take a significant wage cut to bring them in line with their new place in the squad.

Part of it is the club's mishandling of these situations, but I do also belive that if the Raúls, Gutis and Casillases had agreed to take wage cuts to bring them in line with their roles as squad players they could all probably have stayed on and seen out their careers at the club.
