Based on what you say above, Gloria, you should be contacting the club and suggesting to them the example of Derby vs. QPR.
maybe I will
LCFC are spineless, Sven proved that on Saturday
When we had that 'fans fixture' against Donny last season, wouldn't the Donny fans have got much cheaper tickets than any of the away fans that season?
Does anyone know why our match is more expensive than the Watford one? Are the Watford prices the usual or are we?
Our club has a category system whereby games against teams in category A are the most expensive (£30), B slightly less so (£26) and C cheapest (£16). Leicester, following their big spending and the fact they're only a couple of hours away, fall into category A. However, most other teams also do including Millwall (?), Portsmouth (??), Brighton (??????) and Ipswich (?????????????????????). Watford, along with Crystal Palace and Peterborough, are in category C.
Whilst I agree it is rather scandalous to have to pay double the amount of Watford fans, I am a student so don't have to worry about paying full price, you will most likely go up this season and you normally beat us anyway so hopefully you'll just remember the celebrations as Darius Vassell bags a hat-trick and we pocket your hard-earned.
that's fair comment James, but to use your word is bang on.........
SCANDALOUS!
Is it a fair comment to say that Barnsley don't like us?
About 4 or 5 years ago they charging away fans £20 for this fixture and the home fans only £10.
I refused to pay the £20, and sat in the home end, with quite a few other Leicester fans for half the price!
I see, so it's like our 'Platinum Fixtures' then.
Does seem a 'scandalous' gap between A and C games but I suppose if that's their ticket prices, that's their ticket prices.
Barnsley fan in peace. It's worth pointing out that the category pricing at Oakwell is exactly the same for both hone and away fans.
As a Barnsley fan, while I think some of ticket prices are stupid, it's not a direct attack on visiting teams.
Please don't take it personally!
Seems your victims of your own spending, cant have it both ways
redfearn, it's not like it's the fans who have paid out for these new players, why should your club think we have any more money than anyone else in the country?
Or is it just that they think we'll have more fans down their to watch them so they think we'll shell out more regardless? Would you be happy with that if the tables were turned?
Our club, like many in this league will, will be making the most of this fixture as you've now become a big fish over night. We were charged £28 last year to go to Donny Rovers, who wants to pay that to watch football in a caravan park. They made the most of getting in a decent crowd
in fairness to Donny, I like the Keepmoat, and totally respect that they are small club, punching above their weight, with excellent facilities!
"Our club, like many in this league will, will be making the most of this fixture as you've now become a big fish over night. We were charged £28 last year to go to Donny Rovers".
Is that true? I remember buying a ticket for £25 and then getting a £5 refund as we did a reciprocal deal with Rovers whereby away fans were only charged £20 at both games. I'm talking about the 2010/11 season, when it was postponed in December due to the snow and played in January.
£30 is a disgraceful charge for a football match. If I were a Leicester fan I'd just not go. That's the best way to fight rip-off prices - don't pay them.
If anything I would be charging less to watch us against Leicester because we never beat em anyway, even more so with there new found wealth!
Fair comment Braveheart, Perhaps you should tell the Reading and Readings fans that last week
The pricing is the same for Barnsley fans. That says it all. A lot of money in these hard times. It is not as if we are charging £30 for away fans and £20 for home fans.
It's too much and I sympathise. But at least you won't have to sit next to our equivalent of your L1 chav/monkeyboy section for two hours.

oooohhh below the belt bro!
Is it like Forest away where the home fans have a barely noticeable singing section then?
Isnt this the game which the Sun is offering 2 tickets for £20? It was either Barnsley or Bristol City. I have collected the tokens so I may be going anyway for less than a tenner!!!
correct shot21
debate over!!!!!!!!
Whats Geoff got to do with the pricing policy at Oakwell.......I thought he was commentating on t' test match
"Is it like Forest away where the home fans have a barely noticeable singing section then?"
Yep, the other three sides of the ground..It's pretty quiet apart from the booing when we start losing.
What did amuse me about the crispbowl though was that the vocal section of your crowd don't congregate behind the goal, as is traditional, to get behind the team, rather they prefer to get as close to the away support as possible in order to make rude gestures and goad them the whole match. I'm pretty sure none of them saw any of your goals, which was apity as they were rather good. they spend them entire game stood facing the away support making silly faces and being pathetic. A load of chav kids, nothing more. Leicester always had a good behind the goal support at Filbert St.
The mindless hoodie is king.
