Not saying Blind is a bad player. Personally I'd have preferred Blind and a CB to buying Rojo. Just that now that we have bought Rojo there's no point. we can surely buy someone better at CM?

Blind isn't United quality imo.

Yes but with our injuries in defence and midfield and the fact he can play in them 3 positions and the fact he looks a very good solid player and he is not massively expensive it's a no brainer for me

I agree with what you're saying, but tbh, anything would be an upgrade on Fellaini/Fletcher/Cleverley. LVG knows him well, and will just have to see how he works out, if we do sign him.

Ajax apparently want 20+ million pounds, world cup inflation i'd guess.

My point is that i'd rather us buy one more CB and one more CM. ie. Benatia and Vidal/De Jong rather than say Blind and De Jong which is what is rumoured

If anyone continued to watch Monday Night Football, Gary Neville and Carragher touched on this point of where exactly is he going to play.

They had come to the conclusion it was more about getting players in and making up numbers now, touching on the injuries we could possibly have.

I'm not sure that'd be enough for someone of his quality, but I won't be complaining if he arrives.

I agree with your points, but just gave points to as why we may be in for him. Also, he can provide good cover, as half our team loves getting injured.

Very good young versatile player that can cover a number of positions we will need cover in, used to working with LVG, keen on the move and very reasonably priced.

Sod that.

Id take him, from the little ive seen of him he looked like a decent player and would cover a number of positions.

As long as the fee is reasonable i think hed a be good signing for back up.

Maybe LvG wants players that are felxible and can cover a lot of positions. Given the state of our injuries they are good options.
I never rated John O'Shea much but he could play CB, LB, RB and CM and was alwasy useful. Although flexibility is a problem for Jones who needs to nail down his spot.

I haven't been a huge fan of his - Forrr- but in thew single game I have seen him play for Ajax he was the best player on the pitch by a country mile, that's in central midfield.

Shaw and Rojo can obviously play LB so we don't need him there
