This day gets better and better.
But fair play to Frank.... One of the few England players that actually took a fair bit of his club form over to the national team.

Not really
Hodge wanted him to carry on
Henderson and Wilshere the future

Hold on a second, I'll just have a look at my give-a-f.uck-o-meter

Interesting stat from last night. Workhorse, tireless lion Henderson actually covered less ground than lazy cheese eating surrender monkey Nasri...

How bad was Sturridge?
He barely got involved the whole game and when he did, he shot from ridiculous angles
From memory, all I remember him doing well was that cross
The number of times he watched his teammates doing all the donkey work too. He hardly chased a City defender once
Roy Hodgson:
"Naturally, I'm a little disappointed that Frank has chosen to retire from international football. It means we've lost our valuable captain and vice captain at the same time. I now have to look at new names to fill these positions.
There are some obvious candidates within the squad. Glenn Johnson has been a mainstay for the past few seasons, and I know from my experiences at Liverpool just what good characteristics he has. Similarly, Adam Lallana has had good experience of captaining a Premier League team at Southampton, and now he has moved up a level at Liverpool, he can expect to feature more so he perhaps is an option. Jordan Henderson is another younger player who has shown leadership abilities way beyond his years. Also we must not forget the likes of Daniel Sturridge who, in a way, has been a real leader from the front for my team and for Liverpool. All in all, I think we can be confiedent of finding new and emerging leaders in the squad."
The guy did fúck all for England
Macca,
I thought the same. Part of it was we defended twenty yards deeper so that him and Sterling had no space behind us. I thought he was very selfish last night though and only seemed to get going when they were three down.

Top man Lamps, enjoy New York.
apparently... from what I have heard... down the pub ...Lamps isn't very well liked in the pro footie circles
Lampard has got one thing that many other English footballers lack, intelligence.
The reason he's not liked is because he can string a sentence together without using the "err" and "you know".
rbw.. not well liked by other players? or managers?
