Jones is not a better defender than Smalling or Evans. I have no idea where this myth comes from

Rafael is more than good enough to start. The only problem with him is his injury record. Smalling is also a good centre back. Herrera is also good enough to start.

Decent assessment.

I think SAF signed some utter dross in the last four years and bigged up too many mediocre players.

Valencia is average, young is a chapionship player at best. Anderson is lazy, Nani lacks confidence, fletcher is past his best, cleverly isn't even chapionship level, Carrick like fletcher us past his best, Rafeal is made if glass as are Evans and jones, jones and Smalling have gone backwards. Fellaini and mata are both over priced, I've no idea what Kagawa gives to any team, and Hernandez isn't a mainline striker. Welbeck is the biggest bluffer I've ever seen, how Nani starts and how many goals?

The swayed SAF left us poor, poor, poor. Lvg has a massive job, and it will take two/ three years to get it right and a pile if cash that the glazers can't supply quickly enough

Evans is by far the worst of our three CB's.

I would get rid of Evans and Jones Evans rather than Smalling.

Problem is that we've had alot of injuries, Young which was a high light in the pre season haven't produced, some down to himself but also having to partner with Blackett who's fairly unexperienced at this level and needs extra back-up.

When you list up Rojo and Di Maria, yes those are great players, but along with RvP not match fit they haven't actually featured for us yet. So future looks brighter.

Still need some refreshning despite that we've already spent alot, I'm afraid.

But we're long way there, and times has to turn some day now.

You have listed 3 players, rojo, Herrera, and shaw as squad players even though they have barely kicked a ball yet. We have some fantastic players but some poor ones as well. We need 2-3 players in key positions which will make all the difference. Obviously central midfield and central defence. Young, Zaha, Anderson, Nani, Cleverly and Fellaini should all go. Hernandez and Kagawa are good squad players to have. A couple of key signings could change everything around.
