Take him on loan with an option to buy, would be ideal.

Yup absolutely.

Falcao and Costa played together for a season at Atletico so already know each other well.

We could play both up front and blow away teams in the PL and CL.

Schurrle------Matic-----Cesc-----Hazard

-------------Costa------Falcao----------

Thanks. A work of art if I may say so

Don't think he's interested with Real as an option. Pity because a player like him is the difference between us having a complete squad with an iron-clad spine or a good squad with a decent spine.

Something I've always loved in a striker is a feeling that he can produce something from nowhere (it's probably why I futilely refuse to give up on Torres - every now and then he still gives me those 'How Did He Do That?' moments). I don't get that impression with Costa, but I've never got it more with a striker than with Falcao. A true special striker like that with Costa as backup would be salivating.

Looked like his move to Real is completed, not surpsied it was always on the cards. Doesn't feel like we missed out as it was only really a pipe dream! Jose knows what he is doing.

Oh well, I'm sure behind the scenes the club made the
enquiries about Falcao but with Real interested we were only ever going to come second.

Futile indeed.

The only thing that Torres produces out of nowhere is garbage.

Has he produced even one single moment of magic in his three and a half years at our club ? I can't recall one.

Jose likes him, Real's long pursuit of him began when he was there. As with Ibrahimovic, I get the impression he would've played in England by now if he had any interest in our league. He's moved around too much not to have had several opportunities to play over here.

Ronaldo, Bale & Falcao is just about the perfect counter attacking unit not to mention Rodriquez as well. He'll be a diamond for them.

I'm assuming Real will go:

-------------Kroos---Modric-----------

------Bale------Rodriguez-----Ronaldo---

------------------Falcao-------------------

That attacking three cost nearly £250 million

Little moments like that our why I just like him as a striker. I've always adored strikers would can give you 'WTF' moments like that. Van Persie & Hulk are two other examples off the top of my head. Falcao's career in Europe is littered with them.

Gazza I'm inclined to agree with you there.

As good as that Real team looks on paper how good they are in reality remains to be seen.

Didn't Real Madrid already try this Galacticos approach before ? I seem to remember it not being as successful as was hoped.

I should hate Real, they’re vulgar and ostentatious but I just don’t because I have such a dislike of Barcelona FC and their sanctimoniousness that I love watching Real domineer over them.

I'm the same. Can't stand their "mes que un club" slogan.

If you take away Barca's CL success in the Guardiola era then you're not left with much to shout about in terms of their European achievements.

For a club of their supposed size and history they've underachieved in that regard. They didn't win their first European Cup until 1992.
