Also, he might be their manager again by then...
What's going on when Woody's trying to unite the fans and not winding everybody up
Good idea though and it would be a sound to hear if the whole stadium did it together.

I was extremely lucky to have been around when Cloughie came to Forest. What I was fortunate enough to witness will never even happen to followers of most of the Europe's big clubs never mind ours again. I talk to my kids about the phenomenom for Forest that was Brian Clough. It will never happen again to either of our club even with Derby's more modest acheivements under him. Forest and Derby can only ever really hope for a shot at European qualification, the days of winning the top league or European Cup will never return to like of our sized clubs. Thats why I love the man for what he brought to our clubs.
"He made us the worst team in Premier League history!!"
No he didn't.
Sutton he made you a laughing stock after last season's game against us
Fact!

I think you'll find he did. Do you need to appoint him manager a 3rd time before you realise we were right about him?
Would Derby fans have preferred not to have been promoted that season?
It's a great idea hopefully will take off and have a good response. People on here have some respect though and save the "banter" for somewhere else

Ray the voice of boredom.
Cannigia, for me it was great to get promoted but I knew we were fooked the minute Billy spouted his bollox. In hindsight I'd rather it didn't happen but then Billy might have stayed in charge and we'd be in the mess you found yourself in last season

That's all some do unfortunately and can't even drop it for five minutes, it always exactly the same things every time as well. Oh well, what can you do?

It's a debate Rev,
I think everyone's agreed Woody's onto a good thing, then the debate opens up to other things like Cannigia asking if we'd have preffered not to have been promoted (another good discussion)

Post trite observations whilst attempting to claim a moral high ground that doesn't exist?
That's it though Manc, we all strive to get promoted but a season getting thrashed and humiliated each week isn't fun. But there's always a chance you avoid relegation or come down and build a stronger team.
All I suggested initially was to keep the petty squabbles away from this, I'm guessing I got some bile back about that but IF I did want to take a moral high ground that sort of thing just backs it up.

I think it was just a bit too early for us Cann, luck rode with us that season, got us promoted and then gave us a harsh lesson in reality.
But we've regrouped, are on a sound financial footing with a good fanbase and a very good team now so maybe everything does happen for a reason.
Why not also have the 10th minute as an opportunity for everyone to applaud the idea that Ray go fck himself?
It was a throwaway comment Rev, and was making a point the damage he'd done to both clubs. Not a dig at either.
You and Mr High and Mighty are trying to make it into something it's not to 'keep the peace'
Everyone's getting on fine at the minute

So reading through this, there'll be a 10 minute round of applause for Billy Davies during the Derby game then?

I like this idea
