What happend with the cheeky chappy today?

Certainly an embarrassment to Scottish football.
Somebody should be held accountable!

As my old friend Ebenezer Scrooge once said:
"Are there no prisons, are the union workhouses
still in operation?"

He told the media to do one when asked about the financial situation. What that means though remains to be seen.

It makes a mockery of Wallace's words and I always said he was way out of his depth. It also paints McCoist to be in a position of abhorrent and despicable failed dereliction of duty whilst playing with fans emotions and effectively burying his head in the sand instead of taking some responsibility.

------------

This routine McCoist bashing is getting to be the default setting of every poster on here.

He would not have been getting the players he asked for if the money was not sanctioned.

You can't blame him for spending the money as you say but couldn't he have spent it more wisely?

In some cases yes.

We've payed wages for players we shouldn't have.

That can be misjudgement and just bad luck.

It's hardly abhorrent and despicable

Aye because football clubs are normal trading companies.

It was stated on clyde the other night that Celtic have spent the best part of £15m in transfer fees alone in strikers who haven't succeeded.

At least you've recouped that on transfers in - but what if you hadn't would that be abhorrent and despicable?

McCoist has a budget but there's no way he have final sign off on what that amounts to.

I said it was an abhorrent and despicable failed dereliction of duty.

I'd say it's the way the majority of football clubs operate.

However - it's not the way we should've operated.

There was a tightrope of fans expectations to manage as well.

For a club the size of Rangers to be playing where they were, they could've operated with players/budget commensurate with the division they were in.

Would the fans have still turned up in the numbers they did - I'm not so sure.

We may have still ended up here anyway.

And therein lies the issue that 95% (I made that number up) of fans can't grasp for some reason based purely on passion.

Football clubs are businesses. They are entertainment businesses as are cinemas, plays, other professional sports and any other form you can think of.

Get this thought process and adopt it and maybe then we can all be more critical but at least understanding of both our clubs failings

----------------

Until recently (last few years) I don't think the majority of fans want to think about thier team this way...

Fans will turn up if they feel they get value for money. We are far too expensive to watch a game of football up here and when you do enter the ground they try and fleece even more money of you.

Football clubs play on fans loyalties as they know you aren't going to go elsewhere.

The Rangers saga is sad to watch at times. The fans are being taken for mugs as the incompetent Board and playing staff fill their pockets. Poor bears

Thats my thing with mccoist, rangers are clearly in trouble and being run by a shower of monkeys.

Mccoist knows it.

If i was mccoist and i knew the money problems and someone said to me aye its fine go get more guys i think i would be bricking it to in case i hurt the club.
