Why would West Ham buy and loan back a player who could get injured? They could end up losing £1.5 million without him playing for them.

It could be a clever Robbo ploy to induce a feeding frenzy between Reading and Palace though. I suspect West Ham and who is to say they weren't looking at another player.

I suspect West Ham could be a decoy.

If he isnt ready for the Championship, why loan him to us, 'gain experience' and go back to the Premiership?
If he isnt ready for the Championship, what'll make him ready for the Prem in a year?

I cant really understand why we are considering selling him.Its not as though hes unhappy and trying to get away.If we are ever going to progress we need to keep our bst players. If a few more attended the games perhaps that would help.We are now playing our best football since moving to MK and the public are not backing the club.I cant understand it,a few years ago we were getting 10000+.Whats wrong??

One word recession, especially as both the Royal Mail sorting office and Tesco warehouse has closed in Bletchley, while young people have been hit badly.

Sam does not want to go, he would rather stay here. He already turned down Posh, but if West Ham do come in with a decent bid, he really should go for it. Working with big Same will be good for him.

The club will want to maximise their return, but lets hope they do get a replacement stricker, and not just a central defender

Lets all calm down here. Im sure Sam isnt going anywhere this year! He is playing quality at the moment and that is what we as fans should be focused on!

I could be wrong here but, 4900 ish, is our highest season ticket total right? Its just the others that need to go to the games. In fairness though Hartlepool and Chesterfield are not glamour games in this league. Just wait until we play both Sheffield's or Preston. Then I am sure people will turn up!

It is a shame that only 6,800 odd MK folk watched that wonderful performance. I do hope that if this run continues, people will notice in the local paper, and get down.

The recession is a big aspect. I can only watch the games this year cos I get in for free...

And I think people should temper their expectations of a young footballer. I have no doubt he loves the club and his home, but you spend every hour of every day working to become a professional footballer as a kid and then a young man, so that you can eventually play for a club like West Ham. Add to that the signing on fee that could be something stupid like £250,000, it'll give him security that he doesn't have at MK. What if he gets a career ending injury at MK Dons?
