If we do sign him at the astronomical fee that's been bashed around and he sustains another one of his broken glass injuries, we'll be out of pocket and out of reliable strikers before the season really kicks in.
Has he come back strong from injury??
i think the frustration comes from United flirting with Vidal but worried about his injury then all of a sudden possibly blow 50 million or whatever a striker coming back from injury.....?
Odd just Odd....
If we get Falcao it's most likely a one year loan deal where we will have to pay 15 to 20 million and have the option to buy him next summer. That's the deal Real, Arsenal and Juve were offered. City might just buy him outright.
We can't be that bothered about the stuff with Vidal's knee if we are willing to spend outrageous money on a striker, a position we are strongest in, who also has just had a big injury
lets hope this is a loan deal
Spurs fan in peace
Theres no doubt Falcao is a great player but where would he fit in?
Surely you still need a cb and maybe another cm?
What are the chances of Welbeck going to Spurs? Some dont rate him but i think he would be a great signing for us.
WTF we don't need another striker
Scholes
But are we strongest in attack?
Hernandez - gone
Welbeck - maybe gone but if he stays he has plenty to work on
RvP - reportedly has a knee op due which could keep him out for up to 6 months.
So looks like we have Falcao.
Guess it means RVP will have an op now?
The difference is that we could simply not let any of those players go and not need to reinforce. Midfield and defence need reinforcements regardless of who we sell because they are already gone. Seems weird to sell in our strongest position and then immediately buy there when we already have big problems elsewhere.
The only reasoning is that I can see is that the RVP rumours are true
Can Falcao play CM.
This is the most unexpected (positive, Bebe doesn't count) signing since Veron
Unless we;re going to play him in CM, it's a pointless signing, IMO.
What is apparent about all this is that the Journos do not have one fecking clue about who we are targeting or in talks with
If we sign him, it means Hernandez and Welbeck are leaving
I don't want Welbeck to leave...
It's a done deal. All over BBC and sky saying we've got him.
This guy truly is world class. Watch his hat trick against Chelsea in 2012.

Surely ever. Veron was talked about for weeks. This is the first time a major name has come to us with basically no indications we're after him.
glad youve got him instead of a good midfielder or defender

i agree with Robb,
a pure goalscorer, but also has so much more to his game.
fantastic hold up play, great in the air and decent on the ground.
people were saying we didnt need Di Maria, when in fact we did.
we need so many new players, but people see CM and CB as the be all and end all.
Gary Neville was spot on, it doesnt matter what order you get your players in, as long as you do.
----------------------De Gea---------------------
rafa--------------smalling---Rojo-----Shaw
Di Maria-----------Blind----Herrera----Januzaj
------------------------Mata/Rooney------------------
-------------------------Rooney/falcao------------------
id happily take that
It's a brilliant signing, everybody has space for a world class player in their side, no matter what the position.
It's a shame we aren't well stocked in midfield/ defence, but let's see how today goes.

Dunc, that line-up does look sweet . Shame V.Gaal loves his three at the back.
