His goal to game ratio was exactly the same as Sturridge apparently so the pundits were saying on 5 live. They also all agreed that this is a very good deal for arsenal and rate him highly as a player . Some arsenal fans moan so much it's boring. Get behind the team and quit crying.

He is nothing like sturridge, your a pathetic excuse for a fan.
TBH as someone who has watched quite a bit of Welbeck and has no reason to overrate him....
I quite fancy him to do something similar to Sturridge with some decent game time in his favoured position, maybe he won't quite do as well as Sturridge but not far off IMO.
Wolf, what would you have liked to see Arsenal - realistically - do this transfer deadline day?
Would you have supported drastically breaking the wage structure to sign Falcao?
Wolf I will ask your mum if she will tuck you into bed now, it's getting late.

Yes I would have been pleased with falcao of course - he's world class and that's what we need - not yet another bang average waste of a squad number and waste of money.

Why does a player have to be under 27?? Falcao would win us things - welbeck won't !! He was utds 4/5th choice reject!

You're giving Wellkak far too much credit there Wolf !
He was certainly above Hernandez in the pecking order.
Only behind Rooney and RVP IMO, which doesn't make a player terrible...
Welbeck is a man whose head tells him he's a gifted footballer but whose legs behave like those of a newborn giraffe in its first attempts to stand up.
But you surely understand that Arsenal just don't have the financial means to pay a player £300k a week. As well as a £6 million loan fee for one season for a 29 year old, who is a potential serious injury risk. This in a season in which we are very unlikely to win the league anyway with the lack of CB and DM and Chelsea's strong squad.
With Welbeck we could get five - ten good years from him and still be likely to sell him on for £10 million + if it doesn't work out.
Why does a player have to be under 27??
--------------------------------------------
Falcao is nearly 29 with dodgy knees!
i say under 27 because i want a player to stay for more than 2 years at our club.

Haha 5-10 years of Danny welbeck leading the line?? You're happy with that?? What has happened to arsenal fans...
Robben, Ozil, Sanchez and Di Maria.... they are all rejects (at one time or another)
Doesn't mean they aren't any good.

So why do Monaco want rid of him? If he is that good why offer him to us, Man C and United?
£6m loan plus reported £300k a week. That's almost £20m for 1 year....
If we didn't win the league or CL with Falcao this season that's £20 million + down the drain, no chance of recouping any of it and potentially affects what we can spend in the upcoming transfer windows as well as players wage expectations.
How old was robin when we sold him to Utd and he won them the league?? Please remind me
----------------------------------------------------------
29 and where is he now, injured and being replaced with Falcao, they got one good season out of him for 24 mil. We can't afford to pay silly money for one season.
Are you really that short sighted?
Wolf if I said at the start of last season I would have been happy with Ramsey in CM for the next five years you would have had a similar reaction. All I'm saying is Just give the young lad a chance before you start hating on him (if you really have to do it).
