Think it's safe to say that Drogbas goal was a worldy too. Gallas making him go wide expecting him not to shoot......boom!
it certainly was, the best goal of the day
I did rather Enjoy Mata's though
"Chelsea are ours to maul at Wembley!"
Still love that.

What was that ?
Probably Sandy? I don't frequent the mainland enough to know for sure
soccer?lol.
Yep that was a Sandy article one of those ones which with hindsight was bad idea and ran and ran, just like the “AVB take us to the promised land”
Wasn’t the game just before the Barca tie? “Chelsea are ours to maul and Barca can pick over the carcass” didn’t really work out like that as we smashed them and went on to be crowned Champions of Europe on the greatest night in the clubs history.
I know Torres will go down as a flop but no one will forget the goal he scored at Barca. It was worth every penny of the £50m.

totally agree
I could watch that over and over again
a bit like drogbas header against Bayern
It was a funny old day out, I remember it well.
The previous meeting at Wembley, they beat us, but I remember it for being a time whn our usual watering holes around Marylebone were shut by order so in our preparation for this game we debated then agreed we would go to Kingsbury for our pre match libation. The guy who suggested it grew up there and assured us of a decent boozer and plenty of Chelsea fans.
So we bowled in about 15 strong the advanced party, if you like as others were coming from different areas or later, but the place was full of Spurs fans, not ticketed ones, but locals. One of my mates suggested grabbing a table in the corner out of the way but I said no, I pointed to a long table at the head of the bar that stood out like a sore thumb and said that's where we sit.
We took abuse from them, we gave it back, they were wound up, on there phones and half the time I was expecting the doors to burst open and a whole load more of them to come through and give us a right kicking but despite one of them having words with me before his mates dragged him off, there was no trouble.
We laughed, we joked, we got down to the usual prematch banter amongst ourselves and all the while more and more of the lads turned up. When we left the pub there were none of the spurs fans from earlier insight and the place had become a Chelsea pub. On top of that we were dished up that result and see them empty the ground early.
Memories? Yes, plenty and all good.
Bosingwa and Ramires were the Nou Camp heroes
if only they had blonde hair
I got a bit carried away when we won and made this:

Got a bit carried away when Drogba scored too and made this:

Minnows from north London ? You cheeky fecker
Didn't watch much of the second half as I was still drinking the over priced p iss they call lager and chatting to some lads I ain't seen for years.
Not a good day for our lot
I watched it in a pub in Black Horse Road / Walthamstow area, real Spurs area only a Duggan shooting, Ferry Lane from the WHL and was the only Chelsea fan in the pub, sat on the front row in front of the big screen, even the one mate I went with was a Villa fan. Not a great day but thankfully a rare one.
Where have I gone off on one?! That was the league cup final I'm talking about...
lol, that was a much better day for Hounslows
Do articles die with the OP? Cos that article from sandy was golden, run for ages afterwards.
got to admit I was unsure as to whether we'd beat them that day. Especially when VDV hit the post with a cross from 30 odd yards.
Its a good thing that Mata has such a great finish in him for his goal that day... made Luis Garcias effort look like a net bulger!
