A cure for cancer... I detest that phrase as it communicates to the uneducated masses that cancer is a singular entity that can be extinguished in one fell swoop with a magic bullet. Wrong, oh so wrong. It leads to these theories that big pharma already have the answer but are just sitting on their hands.

soccer?lol.

I think people underestimate how incompetent/under prepared intelligence services were post Cold War for the threat from Islamic fundamentalism. They were thoroughly incompetent and were made to pay a very high price for it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

There is certainly that side to it, but there is pretty good evidence to say they knew something was going to happen. Maybe it was as simple as them not joining the dots quick enough.

About that missing plane.. did anyone see that picture supposedly sent by a passenger, it was probably fake but apparently he was here..

I see some have opted for the "I'm above conspiracy theories" stance

They do this as they think it gives them the moral high ground whilst simultaneously dumbing down anyone that considers it.

Yet, terrorist attacks have been carried out and blamed on the enemy for 100 years.

legitimate terrorist attacks are even considered the exception to the rule

my uncle has lots of conspiracy theories.

The 2 that i cannot subscribe to are:-

He thinks Dr Kelly was bumped off (WMD Dossier guy)

And Cliff Richard entering Jill Dando's house when it was a crime scene and apparently leaving with a Brief Case? That one is B/S
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dr Kelly, definitely.

Hadn't heard the Cliff one.. interesting
----------------------------------------------------------------------
me neither....now that is far fetched...unless that's why they raided his house last month

oops - Pepper has put two & two together...

Yeah I got that, I'm just saying they really did exist, I'll try and hunt down the name of that book later.

I dunno, these days I prefer to just accept I'm being lied to and get on with it. If something really takes my interest I'll follow it up.. but I'm way beyond taking what politicians or the papers say at face value.

Yeah the drugs companies are a stain on mankind, not so much in themselves but the relationship between them and Governments, can’t blame them for chasing the money making drugs but there needs to be something done in order to fund the long slow research life changing / saving drugs.

I would recommend reading Bad Science by Ben Goldacre

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll ask my sister about as she's a big reader and a consultant level doctor I'm meeting tomorrow.

It's called the Graham report. You can download it here

^^ I should make clear that Dr Graham's grateful tone in the opening parts of the book are because his report was taken on by the US Government as something to learn from, which could back up the theory that they were simply incompetent and unprepared for such an attack.

Regardless what you choose to believe (or even if you can be assed with it) it does go to show there is a lot more to the story than meets the eye.

The fact he's dead, and Deborah Jeane Palfrey - the high class madam I was on about - simply raises more questions.

The moon landings happened, as others have pointed out, the Russians were watching, as were the scientists at Jodrell bank and they would most certainly have had something to say if all was not how it should have been. There is also the fact that we now have satellites in orbit around the Moon taking HD pictures and mapping the surface, these pictures have shown all the landing site's and debris from the lunar missions.

I dont believe 9/11 was an inside job. There would have had to have been so many people involved that it would have been near impossible to have kept it quiet for so long.

The most ridiculous consipracy theory for me is the "chemtrailers". Makes me laugh.

Chemtrails is classic paranoia

I don't think 9/11 was necessarily an inside job, but if it was planned they would've had to have used outside forces who were well trained..

I don't believe it'd be that hard to keep a few people quiet, or discredit/disappear those that don't. The flight training school for example didn't need to know anything and weren't too expect terrorists.

But to say that you're making an assumption that you know what really happened that day.

None of us know what really happened that day (unless you believe the laughably weak official explanation).

Nothing is what it seems with 9/11 and the amount of mysterious deaths to witnesses and people connected to that day is also very bizarre.

For me it's the result of the attacks that makes it seem planned, as if they wanted to do something drastic but they needed something drastic for it to happen first.

9/11 makes for a good conspiracy theory due to how perfectly it came off. No terrorist attack before or since is even close. In fact is was pretty efficient even for a precision military strike. The problem I can't get past though is motive. Sure you could say it gave Bush the excuse to invade Afghanistan and (sort of) Iraq but it's not as if they've exerted much strategic control in the region since 9/11 and even if the US got lucrative rebuilding contacts in Iraq, it hardly seems a worthwhile risk/reward when you consider they destroyed a city block of the most expensive real estate in the country, destroyed a huge chunk of the Pentagon and killed thousands of US citizens.

What about the one that got shot down, and the one that barely left a scratch on the Pentagon?

As for motive see my previous post. Political motives and powerful groups like and manufacturers and banks stand to profit from war.

Generally it's good to have a war going on, focuses the mind..
