I have no problem with him starting. Just not against Dortmund.

Dubuchy would have been suspended against dortmund anyway.

Monreal is our fourth choice CB. Wenger, confirmed that at a presser a week or so back i think.

So he's no 'desperate, emergency' at CB. He's a well thought through, much planned for option.

Debuchy the starfish jumper!
What was he thinking?
Right up there with Walcott and The Ox's ways to get yourself a serious injury.

Monreal may be 4th CB for now but when Gibbs inevitably picks up another injury in a copule of weeks we'll need Monreal at LB

I can see us having to play a back 4 of Bellerin Mertesacker Hayden and Coquelin at some point this season.

I would play with Chambers at CB when one of our pair are out injured. Bellerin yes....have no problem to try him there.

Don't know if Hayden should be given a chance to play CB. DJ maybe can say more about that.

Issues at the back become irrelevant if :

Walcott, Welbeck, Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey start matches.

Saw Hayden play CB for the U21s against Villa last week.

He looked decent enough, but it was hard to tell as our midfield more or less dominated the game throughout.

Likewise Bellerin was great going forward, but would surely have been caught out at least a couple of times defensively had he been playing at a higher level against a pacier, more experienced winger.

Ozil hasn't been spotted since last december.Last known whereabouts are unknown.
=======
Dismissing Ozil would be as stupid as saying that United could get a top 6 finish without a £200 million outlay.

Arsenal going forward are a team waiting for the return of the pace of Walcott.

Until then we will look as toothless as you did before Di Maria.

Ozil is still a great player, you don't lose that overnight. But there does seem to be something fundamentally wrong at the moment, whether it's him being played out of position out on the left or just loss of form or worse still maybe he is just not suited to English football!

The play just seems to pass him by and he is not one of those players who goes hunting for the ball. Whether it's a case of him playing through this bad form or being taken out of the limelight and spend a few matches on the bench only Wenger knows but it is a bit of a puzzle and one that needs sorting out quickly.

This one certainly is.

You watch Di Maria disappear into a hole when defences start doubling up on him.

Maybe he hasn't recovered from last seasons physical exertions. He had a long season and then a long world cup.
--------
Yes, this is entirely possible, but then Wenger should see he's struggling for fitness and drop him because he's getting so much criticism about his lack of form that is only making matters worse.
