I see he can now read minds as well as all his other amazing 'talents'. Stuff what Mata himself says, and what the past 8 seasons have backed up - it's clearly not for the chance to win trophies with us! Oh no, it's just the wages. Despite him being on lower than expected. Nice one 'Arry.
"I want to come to England to win trophies - and that's why I accepted Chelsea's offer," Mata told The Sun.
"It was also a question of sporting achievement, not money. Arsenal and Tottenham were both interested in me but they did not compare with the Blues.
"I want the Premier League title and this is possible at Chelsea.
Harry must of missed that quote Bubbles, probably gave the quote while filling out his tax forms.....
How many of your current crop of players would play for £50k - £ 65k a week? and be honest with your opinions
It was also a question of sporting achievement. Tottenham were interested in me BUT THEY DID NOT COMPARE.

Mata is rumoured to be getting €3 million a year which is roughly £50k a week.

Just Mata then and it's a rumour. I was hoping you could come up with 11 names from your squad (fringe players, deadwood, some must be on low wages) then tell me where you honestly think they would finish in the league (be honest) top ten at best...............now tell me wages aren't a pull for your club
Of course wages are a factor, just like City. What's MORE of a pull is the recent success, the opportunity to win trophies and CL football. Only one of which Arsenal can boast, and none of which Spurs can.
Fans deluding themselves into thinking it's only the money with us ('Arry, I'm looking at you) are just blinkered by their rivalry and desire to disregard anything good about our club because they don't like us. I at least try to be objective about my and other clubs, no matter who they are. Sadly many fans do not.

Since the PL began pre Roman. Chelsea and Spuds League positions:

8 out of 11 Chelsea finish above spuds.
Looks like we would still be odds on to finish above you.
The discussion was not about the wages of the Chelsea squad but Cocco the Clowns bizare comments about Mata coming to Chelsea for more money - when clearly he isn't, as if Spurs are some massive coup to secure a contract at!
Arry!
JJFlash - you're missing the point. You say Mata only came for wages and yet he's on 50k, which is comparatively cheap.
You then demand that we name the rest of our players on that much, but it's completely irrelevant. Mata doesn't benefit from Malouda earning 90k or whatever, so I simply don't see where you are going.
Pienaar is paid more than Mata, suggesting that Spurs DO have the ability AND willingness to pay that much, so I'm unsure as to how you can suggest Mata came for money alone.
