Doesn't matter who was in the running, he scored goals and played well and thus won it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It does when you win it because no-one else in reality was in the running for it other than Borini.
Congrats to Borini in coming first in a one horse race.
Well done lad, don't forget he's an Italian full international don't you know
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If anybody else had scored goals and played well they would have won it, be that Pele, George Best or Messi. Unfortunately for Sunderland they didn't have those players but Borini scored goals and played well instead and beat the only people he could, to the award - the one's who played for Sunderland.
You're all about the if's but's and maybe's aren't you Dr?

Ballot paper with only Borini's name on it does help.
I bet it was a close run thing as well

What did Gibson do last season?
What did Gibson do last season?
Can't do much when virtually your whole season is wrecked through injury.
I could ask you how Sturridge fared against Villa as it's on a par with your Gibson question

Ah so it's now accepted that a player can't do something when injured? That's strange as the season before last when Borini got injured, early in his first season for us and was put out for the season, he was ridiculed by the likes of you as being crap, despite barely playing due to injury.
The following season, to get over that injury, he was sent on loan, scored goals and got Young Player of the Year for the club he played for. And still no acknowledgement, just criticism!
A bit of hypocrisy from you perhaps Philip?

Did Borini pick an injury that kept him out from beginning of September till the end of the season?.
Borini played at different stages of the season the season before last and virtually every game he was as woeful as he was against Villa on Saturday
Sorry DR I forgot your reputation with injuries.
Hold on, he only won young player of the year after all he did?
Who gives a fook about Borini its the new stadium I'm interested in....
Be a while before we are given firm details I bet
I just hope it goes through, this is the perfect time to be looking to move, the squad is there, the manager could stay a while, the increase in money in the prem has calmed down the shouts for outside investors to come in at least in the short term, this is exactly the next step the club needs to take to progress!
KEIOCwill be strongly against a move and I am sure talk of a phased redevelopment will surface soon. This will be funny as they were critical of the forced purchase of houses round Anfield.
Also I am sure they never looked into the complex engineering methods that will need to be used, complex in my experience always means expensive. Plus how many will be happy with the reduced capacity and the possibility that they miss out on a ST for a year or so?

KEIGP
That's the predicted name from me
They'll just dust off the old 'Goodison for Everton' t-shirts, get their money's worth out of them....
They are parasites. Will this deflect form the blue unions backing of the 20's plenty?
KEIOC can have no complaints with this move 100% in the city ( must admit I didn't want the move to kirby). I must say though I will only believe it when we are actually playing in a new stadium.
How did you vote?
Even now the push the renovation/not to move to a green field site. Something will happen I am sure, dog muck park needs change.
If it was visible to renovate Goodison that would be my personal choice & I guess many other people's, but that option doesn't seem possible for many reasons. Hence we need to move & imo remain in the city
I'm dead against it, moving there will be really inconvenient I think.............it's where I park my car on matchdays before walking to the ground.
