If you watched the game you'd understand. Could've lost about 6-0.
If Kagawa, Reus or anyone other than Mikhchtryan or whatever his name is had played the score would have been far more than 2-0
You clearly didn't watch the game. We've struggled badly since January and both our results and our football has been crap. An injury ravaged Dortmund ran us ragged and the 2-0 loss flattered us.
Mikhchtryan destroyed you, he just couldn't finish.
It wasn't who was paying that beat you, but Dortmund's relentless pressing of the ball and willingness to move off it.
Arsenal simply couldn't handle it, the likes of Ozil, Ramsey and Arteta were miles off the pace and Wilshere, trier though he is kept on giving the ball away in vital areas.
Gooner in the real world - impressed !
I haven't even mentioned our lunatic of a manager has left us with 6 senior defenders for 4 positions. One of those is crock Gibbs, another is rookie Chambers. Another, Debuchy is out for months. Genius planning, eh?
Mkhitaryan destroyed you, he just couldn't finish.

That pretty much sums up the player, especially whenever I've watched him.

You also failed to mention the fact we passed up on going for a world class striker in favour of spending £16m on Danny Facking Welshit.

So what world class striker did we pass up, then? Do they grow on trees?
It's days like today that make me enjoy following Spurs. Most of us don't expect a lot and we're rarely disappointed.

"The man who replaced the English YaYa Sanogo."
Yeah, paying a recently crocked poacher about as much as Messi and Ronaldo is certainly in character with Arsenal. The realistic ones know we had no chance of signing Falcao, especially with the interest of City, United and Madrid. It's silly to compare the situation with missing out on a defender.

Why did we miss out on a defender? Because we were helping United get a world class striker, so we could pay them an embarrassingly large fee for one of their rejects.
Arsenal fans are a strange bunch, is their anyone they don't hate?
Their manager their new and ex players, every player who plays for every other team.
Other fans and so on and so on.

Don't know if you're trolling or you're serious. For starters, none of that has anything to do with our failure to sign a defender. And Man U never needed our help to sign anyone. They have an insane mountain of cash to spend even with Glazer milking them. And Welbeck's fee is far from embarrassing. We spent the same amount on Chambers and roughly the same on Ox. In what world is £16m for a young English international "embarrassing"?

Chambers and Ox were at the beginning of their careers. Chambers had already shown himself as a good PL defender.
Welshit is 23' has had over a hundred appearances for United and proved himself not good enough.
Big difference.
And how can you say in one comment that we couldn't afford Falcao then say spending £16m on Welshit didn't affect buying others. Big contradiction there, either we had money or we didn't, make your mind up.
Welbeck is more worthy of his price tag than Chambers and Ox. £16m is fair market value or at worst slightly overpriced - not "embarassing" like your hyperbole states. But you're entitled to a contrary opinion.
And I didn't say Arsenal had no money to sign Falcao. Falcao earning almost 3 times as much as anyone in our team would be ridiculous. It's as much a matter of principle as a matter of finances.
Yes, it would be ridiculous to actually improve a vital area of the team.
And when you sign teenagers you pay a bit for the potential. Welbeck has no potential to pay for. Proven not good enough for the top of the game. £16m for the English Sanogo is not good business on any level.
You don't improve the area at all costs by adding £20m to your wage bill because of a poacher just returning from a long-term injury and with nothing more than a modest time at his club. I want Arsenal to spend money, not gamble with it. And Welbeck is nothing like Sanogo and still has PLENTY of time to improve. I would like to know what you think Drogba had accomplished at 23. You've given the guy no chance and are bent on proving yourself right for your past comments on him.
All this doesn't detract from the fact not signing AT LEAST one extra defender (ideally 2 more) is just insanity.
Even Scott Dann would dramatically enhance our desperate defensive situation. We're nowhere near that desperate upfront.
Just on my break and had a look at their board, and I have to say, it is hilarious.
