don't forget we need CB also
Wenger would only ruin Draxler and play him in the Arteta role.
Wenger will only buy when his job is under threat sad.
why did he buy sanchez then?
There is a lot of things you could accuse Wenger of doing recently, and I'm as critical of him as anyone, but he did spend £82m this summer. There is no way we could have afforded more marquee signings like the ones you suggest, and also solve the clear deficiencies in our squad - we're extremely top heavy.
Also, for apparently not having a striker, we sure have a lot players who want to play in that one berth: Giroud, Welbeck, Sanogo, Alexis, Walcott, Podolski, Campbell would all play through the middle were it up to them I suspect.

Net spend mate...net spend is important....we could have actually made the push to plug the necessary holes if we wanted to
there was this twitter rumour doing the rounds on deadline day that we were in for huntelaar. Would've been a great signing, he's a beast with one hell of a finish. We should've signed him that summer we lost RVP
We could have got Huntelaar for less than we paid for Welbeck. So what if he's in his 30's, he's never been quick, it's not part of his game, he's got a good 5 years left in him.
They will go quiet as soon as they join us. It's something in our genes.
Please please please let's go for Draxler next summer.
This was Draxler's first game for months now where he really turned up.
The game showed also that Chelsea is vulnerable. With the right attidute you can move mountains even if you have a crocked team available. (Schalke have 9 first teamers out with injuries).

I think Chelsea are potentially vulnerable - they've conceded the same amount of goals as us in the league and we've probably faced slightly stiffer opposition in City and Palace to their Burnley and Swansea (both having faced Everton and Leicester).
That said, I still think they'll probably win the league comfortably.
tearing chelsea they played well at times, but chelsea still bossed the game and shalke were reduced to long range pot shots for the most of the game.
