Recession? The economy has improved in the past 12 months since I tried this...
I am actually looking for a new set of wardrobes...
What material and size you looking for though? Could point you in the right direction.
They're for my eldest daughter. I would think the material would be wood, not too sure about the size yet though.
At the moment, she has built-in wardrobes, but they take up most of her room. So I am ripping them out, and replacing them with a wardrobe, and a loft bed.
Good plans
I'd go for pine mate if they are for your daughter... I presume you don't want to spend a fortune on it?

His daughter's like 4?! I'm sure he doesn't want to spending hundred/thousands on solid oak or gloss painted ones

She's 5 on the 30th of this month.
I don't mind spending the money on it, if it's going to last her.
Oh is this thing still ongoing
Exactly, she's "like 4" - as in 4 nearly 5.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Go for solid oak then
Pine can be a bit flimsy, and generally the backboard will be ply. Painted, unless you spend thousands, will be shít and will chip easily.
Oak is solid, stable and will last. Just make sure that it is solid throughout, and not veneered/ply backboards/sides/doors etc..
