Just think had we played that formation from the start of the season we would have had been at the top!

Again, yesterday was no proof of any vindication. An isolated match doesn't mean much. Villa were very poor, hit by a virus epidemic, and bar a 3 or so minutes window, we created next to nothing. A few more games would determine where Ozil and Arsenal REALLY stand.

No, we wouldn't. A certain other London team would still have been top with maximum points and the best goal difference.

If we won all our games we would be top at this stage - fact

That would depend on the scorelines. It's pointless conjecture though. Regardless of formations and all that, the season has gone how I expected, other than drawing with Leicester. Didn't expect us to win at Goodison or beat City at the Emirates.

dont forget Ozils yardage ran the most of our team which was fantastic, i expect more performances like this as this is what is expected of him week in week out.

No it wouldn't depend on the scorelines. We have played 1 more game than Chelsea. Maximum points in 5 games > maximum points in 4 games

Ozil finally did what he's paid to do, what a legend.

I think the performance was more due to the fact that he wanted to show he should play in no 10 rather than just being played in no 10 if you catch my drift. The previous games where he couldn't even complete a 5 yard pass had nothing to do with the position he was played in.

It's most likely that he saw an opportunity to show his worth ran his socks off and most importantly showed his class. Also Ramsey playing deeper also helped a lot as he could find spaces in between their midfield and defence.

There's no doubt that Ozil on form is the best no 10 around and one of the best players to watch.

Ozil needs to perform consistently...Agood game after 19 matches means nothing.

Özil played on the wing again with the freedom to move. What is different?

Am I the only that thinks apart from the 3 minute period where we scored 3 goals the team and Ozil weren't actually that good?

Was a professional performance I though, Godleebarnes.

Didn't leave ourselves open at the back, controlled possession and waited for our chances to come. When it was 3-0, job done, see it out.

We needed a win tbh and went the right way about it
