I agree, it seems it is one step forward, and two backwards. WTF is Poch still persisting with the same defenders that were so gash last season is anybody`s business. Where was Verts today?

Our football has been gradually getting worse since Modric left, he has not been adequately replaced.

Vertonghen being left out is a mystery, he is obviously a better player than Vlad

Yeah it was abysmal. I thought the setup was wrong but that aside, few showed any interest in being out there. While I doubt they read 606 I'd like them to know they've let themselves down, they've let their team down, they've let their manager down and worst of all, they've let us down, the fans. And while I'm at it, so have the toffees, the Poo and ManU. Funny old game footy. Lastly, the look on Maureens face after Fat Frank scored the equaliser for Sh1ty was priceless...

Agreed on all counts. I thought the ghost of AVB had turned up. 1-0 down, 10 mins to go and we're passing it sideways across the back line. Give us some URGENCY FFS!

I too was at the game today and thought we were absolute rubbish.
Albion were better than us and deserved the win. They had the best chances and created more than we did.
We have a goalkeeper who either cannot kick a ball or has been told not to. Today that meant he passed to our defenders who were put under immediate pressure and when you are talking about defenders like Chiriches who was dog poo today then you are in trouble.
Also Dembele is dog poo mark 2. He takes so long to do anything and may look good as he controls the ball and beats the nearest player before passing to whoever is nearest him but by then all the opposition players are set up to defend.
Why do we have attackers who cannot score goals.
I was so angry but at least when I saw the managers interview he seemed to be of the same opinion as me so hopefully he will sort it out.

Poch was even squatting second half, it was as if avb had returned for the day

Special mention to Paulinho, who actually gets worse by the game

I forgot to mention Paulinho. It is hard to believe he is actually a Brazilian international. Taking Dembele off and bringing him on was just a waste. Today both were awful.

Normally I go spare at results like this but the difference is because we dominate them and get sucker punched, but this sounds like we were totally outplayed so well done to them. I would love to get a chance to walk into the dressing room and ask them what exactly do we pay you for? If any normal person put in a shift like that at work they would be out on their ear. If you got issues here's a tissue now shut up and buck up you bunch of overpaid namby pamby caannttss!!! I would play for free for my team and would bust my gut for them on the pitch, shame they can't.

I think Verts had a knock from midweek.

I think we have some technically gifted footballers, but sadly a lot of them do not have a very good footballing brain and are too slow in the actions.

The slow passing around the back four is so frustrating, why can they not just have some urgency. Vlad is a major culprit, he saunters around like it is a testimonial game.

Our players need to think quicker and act quicker, first on Poch`s training list this week should be URGENCY

We still miss a Modric type of player who can control the tempo of our play. Lamela shows signs of creativity but his decision making looks shocking.

On top of that we need a much better 1 or 2 strikers. How we've gone into this season with those 3 is a bit ridiculous for a club like ours. I would have settled for Welbeck if the alternative was nothing.

Paulinho is a very good player. he should not be getting stick on here.
But when we bought him we also bought Sandro.
For reasons I don't know, we got rid of Sandro.

Now the team has no stick in midfield and opposing forwards run all over our weak back line - note Vertonghen did not play today. Why I do not know since he's the only CB worth a damn that we have.

Its a bit much to expect Paulinho to play two positions at once.

We've bought Lamela and Soldado and have no midfield that can get them the ball. So I don't blame them either.
Frankly, I think levy and Pochettino have to knock their heads together. They have a weak team that wont make top ten this year. Levy is really the idiot here. And Poch must be ruing his decision to leave the sunny southern coast.

Wrong headed. Our problem lies in the midfield. I.e., we don't have one.

Like I said we need a Modric type as well, and judging by who we have, another attacking midfielder. A better striker though would probably have finished that chance Ade facked up.

Think we need some stick at the back - namely Sandro.
How long is Walker out for?

We have zero creativity from CM, nobody with a range of passing that can pass the ball accurately first time or with a touch.

Time and again our players over hit or misdirect key passes, their judgement of a weighted pass is non existent.

Crossing of the ball is abysmal also, nobody can accurately deliver a ball into the box, usually it goes over everybody`s head or hits the first defender.

The good news is Poch slated the team's lack of urgency in his post match interview so he knows fine well we didn't play with any tempo today.

Imperative now the defence that is going to play at Arsenal, plays wed night. Probably Naughton, Fazio, Verts and Davies.

Erikson needs a a kick up the backside so leave him out, play Lamela central and stick Lennon on the right and ffs MORE URGENCY!!!

You could see what Billy is talking about in the midweek match too. This is not an isolated one match problem.
Coaching is at fault here.

Soldado is probably our best crosser, he put a peach in for Kane in midweek and it's not the first decent cross he's thrown in, the rest are useless from the wide area

thought the second half of the Citeeeh V Chelsea match was worth watching.
Nothing like Mourinho wondering how to explain it to Ambramovichi-clown.

As I said repeatedly, losing Sandro, for whatever reason, has cost this team BIG.

Oh yes, isn't ENIC preparing to sell the whole show at WHL to someone?
Perhaps that explains why we playd so badly today?
