I see, yeah does seem quiet, more about the effort and workrate he puts in.
I'm sure he's learnt a lot from his dad who did ok captaining Ajax under a certain Beavis & Butthead look-a-like.
Either way, we need some leaders and have done for a long time.

What we need is our own Vincent Kompany, a "Mr Man Utd" if you will. Somebody who is willing to put his body on the line and lead by example.
You'll never see anybody diss Kompany, because even rival fans cannot help but respect him.

Except Arsenal fans... did you see how much they were slating him last week??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, why?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Err, because they were

Oh

Haha. Yeah, I was over there on Monday/Tuesday, as I watched their game v City, and all the Arsenal kids were saying he's shít, nowhere near as good as Koscielny blah blah blah...

A post I have made a couple of times this morning on our defenders (Smalling, Evans and Rafa) being old enough to be experienced, none of them are as they have never had to lead:
Problem is though mate that they may be older (i.e early twenties) but they have had their hands held by Rio, Vidic and Evra for the whole of their careers. Not one of them is a leader, as they have always been lead. Takes a while to learn leadership, so "young" and "experience" are terms that need to be taken in context. It's not as simple as saying "he's 24, he should be leading".
