Same line up JH and a team that should be good enough to beat Hull at home. However after the Oxford debacle you can't be too sure. Let's hope you are right and it is 2-0.
In the long run I expect Gamboa, Varela and possibly Blanco to be regular first teamers.

Varela is in tonight's u21 squad.
Guess he won't be in tomorrow's squad then.

Portugal must be short of players - he's 29!
Surely that can't be right - it's about time we saw what he can bring to this club. Furthermore I don't see when we can see if Ideye has got what it takes until Varela and Blanco play.

I'm really not fussed about any Cup games again this season. I want us to play well in our league games as we did at Spurs and start getting results and wins to prove we've got a decent squad and that Irvine has the dressing room and that the players will play for him. I am totally fed up with his seeming lack of passion and any sense of urgency.
Alouion, did you get my email (via msn Hotmail) about meeting up with Baggie Man before the Burnley game? I can't make it because I won't be getting to The Hawthorns until very shortly before the kick-off.

I'll also take the same line-up as JH, except I'd put Baird in for Mulumbu.

I'm not sure where I stand on the League Cup. Another win might be good for our confidence or it might serve as an unwelcome distraction.

Having said that i'd love us to go all the way. If Blouse can do it, anyone can!

Hi Aries
I am afraid I did not see your message. Like you I am a globetrotter these days. Nevertheless I would love the opportunity to meet soon and talk Baggies with you and Baggieman and anyone else we can rope in.
Hopefully by then we will be in a less precarious position in the league.

No worries, Alouion. Let's hope our league position is eased after the weekend game against Burnley.

I go back on 10 October, Baggie Man, then next scheduled appearance in Blighty won't be till next March.

...sounds like it would be easier for us to meet you in Libya, Aries.
Alas I can't make the Vine this week Baggieman but we can meet after March, when, fingers crossed, we can look forward to another season in the Prem. Hope Wolves can join us too.

Thankfully I am no longer in Libya, Alouion. I left there three years ago when Gaddafi was still in power and things were still safe for expats like me. I think a pie and a pint in The Vine in March will be an all-round safer bet, so let's look forward to that.

11 changes, but still looks a pretty strong team. Shows the strength in depth

Just the 22 changes between you

Advantage of having a strong squad mate, you should try it some time

1-0

But Brown Ideye out for the season.

Nice little squad you got there.

Just think - in 50 years, you will be able to tell your great grandchildren how you were on ja606 the night your team played Hull in a cup game.

PS: 1-1

Hull's u21 team aren't even trying. Just turned up to avoid a fine.

Hull aren't even bothered. Seriously, they are not even bothered.
