No negativity from me, just glad we won, fans need to understand it won't be qpr every game, hopefully after 10-12 we are around or in top 4 getting all our players back to push on then, just happy we won today
Well I say no negativity apart from Rooney the prat
I actually think the Rooney thing will be a positive.
1. The team had to dig in and show character defensively and taking the points will ggive huge confidence.
2. Rooney and this undroppable thing has annoyed me a bit and now he will get the kick up the backside he needs. Hopefully he'll learn from this....
3. We get to see Mata at number 10 for three games. It's his chance to show whether he's up to it.

He's captain of Manchester United and England. He should be setting an example!
Fingers crossed... Everton, Liverpool, spurs and arsenal will all have dropped points today too.
Not a bad day's business
hopefully januzaj gets his chance too
interesting to see if fletcher will play now as he is vice captain
I know it's great isn't it. United could so easily have drawn/lost that game and yet they'll make 2 points on everyone who is realistically going to challenge them for top four.
We end the day 7th . Back where we belong at last!
Now with Rooney missing 3 games, this should be a positive move for our two other strikers. With Mata playing in the number 10 role, we will see more intelligent passing being played.
Hopefully the Herrera injury isn't serious as well.

Well yeah it is all good, but let us be honest none of those were ever going to be serious rivals this season anyway.
third place was always the minimum this squad should have achieved - and that was from the beginning of the season, before the recent signings.
What will stop the club in any of it's real ambition, however, is the absence of a GK and RB
Been pointing out (amidst a lot of infantile derision) for over two years now that there were 5 'wastes of space' at the club: Fabio, Rafael, Welbeck, Cleverley and Coco. There are only two of them left now, but that is still two too many.
Agreed OP. I think it's the kind of performance we needed really. We showed the kind of resilience that had been missing for a while. I think it was Jason Roberts on BBC who said that result would do more for us than a 4-0 win would have, and I'm inclined to agree.
And Rooney's absence? Not ideal but it might be a bit of a blessing in disguise. I really don't like playing with him, RVP and Falcao. We have a more than capable replacement in mata.
The main downside for me is Herrera's injury. We'll struggle without him against Everton I think. Hopefully it isn't too bad.

Hahaha
You really have to wonder what game the idiot was watching today. We may not have won without that 'waste of space' RB
The guy is obviously not a utd fan...
Rafael was fantastic and being at the ground he's a firm fan favourite - sounds a bit rude that.
What impressed me he was everywhere when we went down to 10 men and a real leader. And watching him closely he was great in helping McNair, Rojo and Shaw. The defence as a whole deserve a medal because Big Sam smelt blood today and just bombarded them with long ball after long ball.
Hands down man of the match Rafael with Blind a close second.
Rafeal was literally our right hand side.
The ground he made up both attacking wise and defensively was utterly impressive.

Coco and Rafael were instrumental to us winning that game.
