I didnt see the game tonight but I can imagine it went something like this.
1. Caught dawdling on the ball in his own half, resulting in a dangerous situation
2. Poor passes resulting in cheap loss of possession and an inability to build attacks. Any passes that are successful are either behind the man on the ball or arrive so late that all momentum is lost
3. Does his best impression of the invisible man to the point where the opposition midfielders control the game and run through the middle as if he wasn't there
That sound about right?
Bang on right. At one point, he decided to leave his man and chase the ball. Leaving them clean through. Awful player!

He's all effort, but he's not got the composure to back it up.
Needs to be broonie and kayal in midfield
Agreed, Kayal has actually looked pretty good lately.
I thought Brown done pretty well today. Both Denayer and VVD get pass marks as well.
Gordon obviously man of the match.
How Johansen played the full 90 minutes I'll never know
He's in the side because he's Ronny's boy. Johansen has been shockingly bad and last night was no different. Apart from his usual running around like a heedless chicken, in the second half the opposition broke quickly and instead of marking his man in the Celtic penalty box he runs over beside Izzy and Broony so the 3 Celtic players mark one of theirs . The unmarked player should have scored.
Graig Gordon was raging at him and no wonder!
Ronny, you are all mouth about players not being good enough and dropping them. Take off your Norwegian specs and tell Johansen to gft
He runs around a lot due to him probably being the fittest player at the club.
Can only assume Ronny is trying to use him as an example of the stamina he expects from his players.
Can't see any other reason for including him in the team as he's guff.
One thing I've noticed about our current setup which is killing us is that our CB's are allowed to bomb forward at will, leaving huge gaps in defence.
It's slightly different, but last night at one of their corners the only defender we left back was izzy they then proceeded to counter, brown and Johansen managed to get back too but all three ran toward the guy with the ball, leaving that Eduardo bloke in acres of space right next to the penalty spot. Only a relatively poor shot and great save from Gordon prevented the goal.
It's definitely something that needs addressed as we're always being caught out with defenders out of position, or our back 4 not holding a tight defensive line.
Juke...you're dead right. It's ok for centre halfs to bomb on if you can cover it and then regroup quickly.
Unfortunately for us it's johansen who usually fills in for us. He doesn't seem to know how to handle that when the other team gets the ball back and it can take us way too long to get our shape back. It's actually keystone cops defending at times. Kayal is showing glimpses of form...get him in the team before he loses it again
Was too chuffed with the win last night to come on and moan about Ronny. But Johansen and Tonev offer absolutley nothing. It actually scares me that the manager can't or wont address this. I did think Stokes and Commons linked up well, especially in the first half.
