Sheriff made a good point. A lot seem to place more importance on supporting Wenger than supporting the actual club.
Although the number is diminishing by the day it seems

Mr C one thing that did bother me recently, although maybe I don't know the full story.
It feels somewhat like Mourinho is picking on Wenger, he has the beating of him, he has the better side, he has the greater resources, he is admired more widely (for his ability anyway) and seen as the better manager...
So why the need to 'bully' Wenger?
Its like if there was some shorter uglier version of me who I was better than in everyway, and I pick on the guy, why, what's the point? I am already the winner, it comes off a little as bullying and I didn't like it.
The majority of what Mourinho does I find quite entertaining!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Its because Mourinho doesnt know why Wenger is more revered than him in the football world despite Mourinho's trophies and success. He is wondering why he has been sacked from half the clubs he has managed. He doesnt see that winning trophies playing boring football will get him sacked by the likes of Roman over and over again. He doesnt realise that a manager who puts long term well being of a club over his own ego and personal sucess will be more important to the club in the long run
He is jealous. If only he logged onto ja606 he would get the validation he is looking for, from these new fans.

Oh wow
Mourinho jealous of Wenger
Sweet fecking Jesus this guy is gold.
Doubt he's jealous.
SAF won more trophies than Wenger did and played 'attacking' football, he's gotten along fine with him.
SAF I think im correct in saying, a journo asked Wenger a question about Jose.. Wenger said something like he's afraid of failure? Jose replied with specialist in failure.
----------------------------------------------------
This is very untrue. Wenger never referred to Mourinho. He was asked a generalized question about why managers are ruling themselves out of the league - which Maureen and Brenda were doing A LOT - and Wenger said "it's a fear to fail" with no real malice (and his answer is a blatant fact). A mischievious journo reported Wenger's statement to Maureen as if Wenger directly addressed him and he went off on one about Wenger.
Mourinho was wrong and acted with crass disrespect in the incident with a personal attack on Wenger.

Why attack him then? He's already alluded plenty of times to the fact that he thinks Wenger should have been sacked. Even when he was speaking about Wenger's 1000th game he gave a thinly veiled insult about years of not winning.
His hatred for Wenger is not normal. He has won many trophies yet still gets booted out. He has been sacked already by the very club you support ffs.
Wow are people still actually debating this?
Sheriff
Yeah, he shouldnt have said it, however true it may be. The media play their part in it like you said

Maureen is a reverred tactician. He's worshipped at Porto, Chelsea and Inter. Maureen is even better liked among managers in the league currently. Wenger is increasingly a laughing stock among neutrals and a self-parody. Even Pellegrini who he was friends with as Villareal boss has been aggravated by Wenger's constant whining in the press about other clubs.
Not getting sacked by Arsenal is hardly a badge of honour. Wenger would have got sacked by Madrid and Chelsea for failing to win the CL as well. That's the nature of the teams that want to win the biggest prizes, rightly or wrongly.

He wasn't "sacked". Both his terms at Chelsea and Madrid ended because he got into disagreements with the owners/fans/players and left by mutual consent. So stop acting like he was kicked out ala Moyes.
He doesn't have a hatred for Wenger either. Watch the press conference after the recent game. He plays everything down and tries to just get on with it. Wenger probably is just a bit of a joke to him these days

He attacks Wenger because Wenger himself has little respect in commenting about other clubs and their activities as a way to detract from his own failures. And he did it a lot about Chelsea in Maureen's first spell at the club. He just wouldn't shut up about Chelsea.
Fergie has achieved far more than Wenger and he had a good relationship with Maureen - despite the fact Jose ridiculed Man U and Fergie after their first meeting with Jose as Porto boss. He has a good relationship with managers like Robson and Van Gaal that mentored him. He's good friends with a host of young successful managers like Simeone and Klopp and Emery. He dislikes Wenger cos he finds Wenger dislikeable. There are not many managers in England who like Wenger.

TBH I wouldn't say Mourinho played incredibly attacking football yesterday but it was quite far removed from what he did at Old Trafford last season (which was bus parking!)
It was maybe a little defensive but no more defensive than most coaches would be away against a tough opponent.
I actually like Wenger more than Mourinho, so if I was biased it would probably be the other way as well....
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets not pretend you weren't just as defensive that night, Moyes had the chance to bring on Kagawa and really go for it, but played safe and took the 0-0 AT HOME.
Ask him if he has ever written a positive article or comment about Arsenal

I didn't know the prerequisite for supporting Arsenal was writing articles on ja606.

Just because he doesn't start talking about winning the league and all the world class players in your squad like half the posters on the Arsenal board doesn't mean he isn't a real fan.
You guys should be supporting the club, not the manager. And after a mediocre 9 years and a fluky FA cup win to show for it, I'm not sure how you still believe Wenger can take the club forward

Mr C, I wouldn't say that Wenger has been stupid in some of the big games last year, more so naive.
Funnily enough during Wenger's halcyon years, he had a great record against the big teams.
I think the players have to share the blame, they don't apply themselves in the big games. If you don't work hard enough on and off the ball, you have no chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
In his early years who in England was a top team bar Man.United?
And his record in Europe was diabolical, a manager with Henry Vieira and Pires at his disposal shouldn't be getting bent over and penetranted by Deportivo La Corona TWICE.
