I don't see us making that many signings come the summer.

Pogba would be nice, but I doubt we will pay the money for a position we are already covered well in. Unless we convert to a 4-3-3, but where would that leave Oscar, who is still very young and despite his dip in form is still one of our best players.

In defence we have a very stable back four, which has lots of cover. We also have potentially Zouma and Kalas to come into the squad in the future, and it would be a shame if both talents went to waste.

I agree we need a striker, but none of the above are alternatives. Muller plays in midfield for starters, and has a secure place in the Bayern team. I don't think he could play the lone striker for us, or would want to be back up for Costa. Benzema won't leave Madrid anytime soon. Higuian could be a shout, but hes spent a lot of his career already being rotated. He will probably want a secure place in a starting 11.

I think we could do with:

Winger - Draxler. I have not been completely convinced with Schurrle and Salah, so another quality winger could be what we need.

Striker - Jackson Martinez, Wilfred Bony. both great back up. Both probably more accepting to playing as cover for Costa.

Next summer - it's only October

Our squad is great.

Don't think we're well covered at CM. Outside of Cesc and Matic we don't have that much quality. Pogba would be an ideal signing.

I'll agree with that Randy, that's were we are not well covered squad wise!

Pogba could either play as a holding MF player or alongside one, when you consider Fabregas can play as number 10 or deep midfielder it'd give you a lot of depth and options

If we bought Pogba we could play:

Ivan Cahill Terry Azpi
Matic Pogba
Oscar Cesc Hazard
Costa

I prefer Fabregas playing central midfield rather than number 10 and that's were I feel we do need reinforcments. Ramires, although a decent squad player, can be very hit and miss!

Mikel or Rameires are not Pogba, but they will get us through this season, with the experience they have.

Get off of fifa OP.

I'm content with Ramires and Mikel tbh, Kalas and Zouma should be fighting for that place next to Cahill.

I honesty just don't understand some peoples obsessions with signings.

Were a month past the transfer window; we have the best squad we've had for years and are playing the best football we have for years. Just enjoy!

I don't understand why we need a new CB unless JT significantly deteriorates this season.

Ivanovic is a CB by trade, Zouma is being groomed to eventually come in and looks a beast and we also have Kalas out on loan, who looked a quality player in a high pressure game at Anfield last season, whilst Christensen is also on the fringes.

I see little point in buying the next big thing in, say Varane, when we may very well have the answer within our own ranks already!

So Cahill doesn't have any experience?

If that's the case, lets just sell Zouma, Kalas and Christensen in January so they can get on with their careers and we can watch them develop elsewhere and buy them back in 3 years time at ten times the price a la Matic!

I think Chelsea fc is well stock in CB and Midf positions for next few years, don't need to spend another 30 mil fo new CB

Next summer we could do with something we haven't done in 10 years - leaving a squad and coaching staff predominately as it is. Replace one or two squad players but the core of the team doesn't need tempering with right now.
