Well considering he had over 3 months in the summer to do this and didn't, there's no reason to believe he will in the January transfer window.
Think we'll definitely get a CB as our problem there is quantity. Not confident about a DM in January

He will have Giroud back and Ozil (staying?? you bet your árse he staying)....and Walcott will be hopefully fit and tearing up the defences, Debuchy back and Diaby..........
I know we will get an injury before January but IF we don't then besides a defender and DM we do not need anyone.
January may be Wengers least favorite time of year but we have got players like Arshavin, Reyes in during this period. Also Khedira and a couple of other players may be coming to the end of their contracts and deals can be made before they fúck off to Bayern or another club.
I am not sure Khedira is what we need though, not gonna to lie, if we get him I would be happy, but he is not a true 'Viera' kind of DM.
I bank on 2 players in January...DM and CB....

In all seriousness it’s pretty pointless attempting to discuss/predict what AW’s plans are for January, and to suggest (above comment refers) otherwise is a tad foolish.
Might get a CB on the cheap or on loan. I'm not expecting much more. We'll have some 'like a new signing' players returning from injuring in jan, so I expect that'll convince wenger not to buy. Then we'll get a fresh batch of injuries come feb 1st. Unless maybe he offloads someone like podolski, I don't think he'll make an addition of any note.
Hopefully we may be able to get khedira cheap, that Might convice wenger. But he'll probably more likely risk waiting to get him free in the summer.
I think we'll either sign Khedira or make an "Offer they can't refuse" push for Schniederlin. He's not a happy bunny and wants to leave Saints. I'm sure that given the English football experience, the saints man is Wenger's preferred choice.
Fact is if we weren't going to gt held to ransom in summer for a DM, we dam sure will do now in the Jan window. Wenger is screwed and will end up having to pay at least 5mil over the odds for the slightest of talent. Our best move is to amp up the offer and pressure on Saints, Schneiderlin wants the deal to go through so my guess is they will sell. They'll just make sure they get every penny out of Arsenal that they can.
I would imagine that he won't do anything until the last day of the transfer window when he'll fly off to some "really important" tiddlywinks match that he agreed to referee.
We'll then Kedira, Hummels, Reus and Ronaldo and he'll say that he wouldn't have signed them if he had still been in the country .
I doubt Schniderlin will leave. I think he's happy there now. They're doing great, and look better than last season at the moment. His concern was with the direction of the club, but they've sinced signed some good players, and are in a great position. Think he was worried they'd be bottom half after selling everyone. Barring a bad drop in southamptons form between now and jan, he won't force a move until summer at least. Plus saints won't be held to ransom, they won't sell unless its a ridiculous amount like 30m+. Which he definitely isn't worth.
