Anya is better than Balde
where's robbie keane....!?
Take Stones out and put in Ashley Williams.
Joe Hart?
He wouldn't get in the Scotland squad never mind the first XI.
Robbie Keane omitted through age.
Joe Hart is the best of a bad bunch.
Craig Gordon is the best British and Irish keeper around but has sadly suffered with injuries. I'd genuinely have McGregor or Marshall ahead of Hart.
Based on last season, I'd go Marshall in goals.
McGregor is terrible, I really dont rate him.
Dunno how I overlooked Marshall, put him in for Hart and drop Joe to the bench.
Drop Sturridge to the bench and replace with Rooney who is the 2nd best player in that team!
Replace Long with Welbeck.
Unsure regarding the goalkeepers, but drop Foster from the bench at least.
I'd probably go....
...................Rooney....................
Bale..........Sterling.........Walcott
............Ramsey.....Wilshere.....
Baines..Cahill..Someone.Coleman
....................Hart......................
CB is hard, have a feeling Stone may just be flavour of the month but TBH none of them stand out.
Unsure on the GK as well.
Likes of Welbeck, Sturridge, Oxlade, Lallana on the bench.
For tougher games drop wilshere for a holding midfielder to make it a bit more defensive.
Also wasn't 100% on Wilshere but him and Ramsay playing together at Arsenal would be a big bonus.
Williams is actually a solid CB
Might not be a terrible shout for a bit until one of the promising younger English CB's steps up.
Not that they have to be English but the ones I can think of are.
Marshall
Baines
Cahill
Jagielka
Coleman
Brown
Ramsay
Bale
Sterling
Rooney
Sturridge
Bale is by far the best player between them all the only world class player
I think at a club level Rooney is a WC player, just hasnt performed at all internationally.
CB was a tough choice.
Strachan is the only manager who is competent. Coleman is meh manager.
Rooney doesn't look as good internationally...
Neither does Sturridge or any other England player, Sturridge has looked shocking.
The difference is Rooney drops from a (arbitrary figures) an 8.5 to a 7.0... Sturridge drops from an 8.0 to a 6.0.
Honestly if you have to drop Rooney replace him with Welbeck at least. But Rooney is easily Englands best attacking player performance and ability wise.
You rate Rooney much higher than any person on this earth though SAF. I wouldn't disagree that Rooney is maybe an 8.5 at club level, as I think he has somehow become underrated.
Yet internationally he has been pathetic, bottled it in every major tournament with a pitiful talent to prove it, even when he scores of late for England he has been appalling, properly appalling. Its not just Rooney, I also think Walcott has been embarrassing for Country, as has Lampard (bar Germany WC). Some players just aren't suited to the game, Rooney definitely being one.
