Wenge/Cesc= Not that bright move

I thought we played some decent stuff and could easily have had a result but for some better defending, finishing and refereeing.

Aguero was the difference, put him in the Spurs side today and we would have had a result.

The referee was abysmal all afternoon, right from the first goal when Fat Frank was stood in front of Lloris in an offside position, he even gave a pen to Spurs for a foul outside the box.

I make that Spurs have been on the wrong end of poor refereeing decisions in 5 out of 8 games so far this season.

The standard of refereeing is horrendous at present.

I agree Billy, it is not just sour grapes, but Spurs have been on the end of some shocking refereeing decisions over the years. It is very well overturning Red cards the week after the game, but it doesn`t help Spurs on the day, too many of the games are being ruined by nonsense red cards.

Lamela should get less than a 6 based on the fact he had a hand in both of their goals. When he gave the ball away for the first one he just swung his arms out in frustration and didn't bother tracking back.

He gave the ball away many other times too.

He has talent but he is not using it nearly enough. Is it so much to ask that our £40m signing has a good game against any of the top opposition?
