it is difficult to play at a high tempo for 3 games in a week (Look at Liverpool compared to last year)
You're right though, a good manager is able to make better judgements about when to play at a higher tempo
The style of play is slow and lacking quality. The only player who consistantly shows any energy either with the ball or trying to win it back is Sanchez. Is it Wenger who is making them play this way or they are just lazy players who knows but I do know Sanchez puts the rest to shame when it comes to work rate.
I agree, with that, I'm not expecting 90 mins of high pressing or anything like that. But you're right to mention Liverpool - what they did so well last season, apart from having Suarez, was to kill start games quickly and kill of the opponent as early as possible. The sort of thing we did vs Napoli last season. Unfortunately that was very much a rarity for us.
agree with your assessment. Our main problem is our creative department in midfield. Simply not good enough. We are passing sideways and we do pass forward we fail. Our striker upfront looks isolated or must been 100% clinical from what we create. Simply not good enough.
And the myth that pace is all in football is wrong. When you dont pass with accurancy you can have pace all over the field. It wont help you.
our lack of intensity has absolutely f^ckall to do with fixture frequency compared to last year.
we're just not anywhere near as direct as last season
