Heard dribs and drabs on the wireless, sounded awful.
But on the positive, like you said, you got the win and 3 points is 3 points and is another step towards SPFL survival.

I'm just glad you guys finally got a result yesterday. We need other teams to help out if we're going to catch Accies at the top. We can't stop them on our own.
It was awful, but what I would say is that the only bits of quality, as few as there were yesterday, were from us.
Great win for our finely tuned sportscars against the Transits, hopefully thats our well oiled machine up and running smoothly now.
It always happens, on a day of high scoring whitewashing there is always a dull and dreary, the last game on MOTD game, sounds like it was yours this time. Good job in playing shiiite and getting the win though, keeping the Accies on their toes, they cannot be allowed to build up an unassailable margin...
Never caught the game Ivan but have to say would have expected more considering the way yourselves and Thistle for that matter given the attacking nature of both teams play .
One of them what happened their type of games I guess
No wonder fans say they're getting fleeced when they pay good money to watch that rubbish.
Double edged sword though regards the fans wanting to pay less. So long as they also accept that will = less spent when the clubs set their budgets all is well.
That's the bit that annoys me and am sure does much more than annoy the boards of clubs
It was dreadful - I don't think I've ever looked at my watch so many times during a match.
Agree Fojut played well, Dillon did lots of things well but I'd still rather see Townsend back playing at left back, pleased to see him back in the squad anyway.
Çiftçi was out of order - too greedy and huffy. Also there were so many times when we could have kept the pressure on them but ended up having to knock the ball about whilst we waited for him to get back onside. I'm amazed that both him and the defender he was having the running battle with both managed to stay on for the whole match. I think he knows he won't be dropped from the team which isn't a good place to be with him.
Big match next week - ICT away, 6 pointer really, hope we learn to string a couple of passes together by then.
I wasn't at the game so can't really comment on the performance, but I'm really not sure what McNamara was thinking of putting so much faith in a 22-year-old very temperamental striker. Our only striking option on the bench was an 18-year-old who has only had a couple of appearances.
But I think it is becoming more & more obvious - Nadir Çiftçi just isn't that good. He'll occasionally bang in a screamer or pull off a good bit of skill, but that's pretty worthless without consistency or intelligence. If he showed any glimpses of improvement I'd be far happier, but there's absolutely nothing. He either doesn't care or is incapable.
I don't see a problem with playing Paton & Rankin every game. There's nothing inherently negative about playing 2 defensive midfielders, but when your left-back is a right-footed centre-back, it sort of defeats the purpose of having two anchormen to cover the bombing full-backs. Doesn't help when the front 4 aren't flowing either. Change does need to be made somewhere.
At least the defence seems competent at the moment.
"But I think it is becoming more & more obvious - Dundee Utd just aren't that good."
You've seen the light, Hobo.
Nothing has changed from last season when it was obvious to everybody except the manager that there was no plan B.
Jackie being either unwilling or unable to change tactics when we're not playing well.
And he's made things worse by having no options up front when Ciftci isn't up for it.
It really beggars belief that after selling two players for big money we didn't bring in at least one striker.
I look across at Dens where Hartley has about 6 strikers to choose.
OK we're doing well for points but with little evidence that it'll continue.
Maybe I'm being unduly pessimistic but just can't see how a team devoid of strikers can hope to keep winning games.
It's utterly imperative that we get someone in during the January window as a striker and it's got to be someoneccapable of starting. There's no point signing someone as a backup as we need quality.
I'd imagine it would most likely be a loan which we have a patchy record with. In fact I'm struggling to think of any good loan signings we've made...
I disagree with you Hobo on Ciftci. I'm a fan. I know he's frustrating and inconsistent and moody but he also has real quality and, as shown on Saturday, even when he's playing badly he can produce a moment to win a game. There are very few players in our league can do that.

Is Brian Graham's loan until January or is it a whole season?
Lauders, not bad bud. Monday morning blues though. How's things with your good self?
Border, think it's the season. His contract ends then too so he's finished at the club.
Much the same Ivan
Monday ruffness and fear
going to find a new job today, current one is a loadapish
I'm like that too. My job is boring as feck but I've been doing it that long I'm just stuck in a rut.
