If we get our defence sorted we'l scrape 4th. Still Way below expectations this year though. I personally would just be happy to see this team start to perform consistently and get better from now so that we can challenge next year. I think going forward we don't really need to add anything. We need 3 beefy defensive players

To be honest, as good as (a couple of) Utd's signings and frontline are, I agree with the above: we would be performing way below expectations if we finish 4th below them

Why are you discounting Spurs, who have been in around the top four positions for the past half a dozen years. They will be there are thereabouts as usual.
And Southampton. No European football, maybe they're doing a Liverpool! Not sure which player will slip to feck it all up though.

One season Arsenal and Liverpool finish above Man utd and all of a sudden Man utd are nobodies. Still am amazed Man utd have had no pens for far more worse things then todays stoke swansea game or man city tottenham game but we concede a lot of soft pens for dives.
Man utd should get easily 3rd. I think its a battle between Arsenal Liverpool Tottenham Southampton this season for 4th spot.

Are you serious? Even though Arsenal is short of defence due to suspension and injuries i think they are still better than Man Utd defence. Arsenal will get third place with no pressure, but we expect more than that. Man Utd should only hope Liverpool does not leapfrog them to get fourth place.
Man utd defending has been good, its just refs invent new rules at Leicester game that made people believe our defence is bad and against mk dons we had a shocker.
If Man utd keep another clean sheet it would mean we have conceded less goals then Arsenal or Liverpool and Tottenham.
BTW we have had more injuries in defence and we let quite a few defenders go so we had to play kids in defence who have done well.
Utd fans talking about finishing 3rd how the mighty have fallen.
WNM we will take 3rd after last seasons debacle and hopefully win the fa cup but some reason that competition has been unkind to us.

It was a save. 2005 fa cup final we had like 40 shots to like 5 for arsenal. 2007 final against chelsea wringly disallowed goal. 2008 portsmouth shocking ref ronaldo clearly fouled no pen and we battered there goal all game and they make one break away and red card and pen and we are out or 2009 I believe everton semi stonewall pen denied.
But u got lucky it got saved otherwise you'd haven been out

Utd will get Europa league this season, they will lose the next 2 games and their board will be full of it mark my words, they have had the easier fixture list out if thd top 5 teams in the league so far, no Europe to distract they and they still sit outsid the top 4 LAMU!
Spurs are definitely in the race they will only improve with their manager and they have already picked up a few decent results this season.
Personally think Arsenal are shoe in for third at least, although we are relying on us picking up form very soon and Chelsea and City having extended bad patches of form in the future
