id love him at liverpool he,d fit great with us
Sell when the price is high, you could hold an auction in January the big spenders will be getting desperate by then.
I think people need to calm the fack down with this lad. He looks like he has potential but just let him play and develop. There’s a lot to be said playing for a club like West Brom (no disrespect) when you’re not expected to win every game and suddenly moving to a bigger club were you are expected to score goals against all opposition and will be criticised if you don’t (Torres, Soldado, Balotelli, etc)
He's not ready for that move yet
WBA should sell when a silly offer (probably from Liverpool) reaches them. Like Wild Rover says, the hype around him is starting to go OTT. For the player himself it'll be best to stay at WBA for a few years and develop.
For WBA, well I suppose finances dictates a lot, so they'll have to consider what thy consider an offer too good to turn down.
To be honest, Saido's development is only our concern if we want to keep him. However, selling him at the highest possible price is our best option and if that isn't in his best interests development wise then fair enough.
The next question is how much could we get for him. Surely a lot more than the £15 million Spurs are rumoured to be offering. If Luke Shaw is worth £30 million then surely that should be the starting bid!

Young, quick, English, great finish. Arsenal got Welbeck for £16m and some considered that a steal.
I think WBA wouldn't turn their noses up on a £20m (ish) bid.
It's true. He's developing well but still very early. I doubt very much if he will keep this level of performance up all season and for that reason the hype will die down.

We will probs buy him for 25mil
I think the first thing WBA should be doing is getting him to sign a contract extension, even if it's only 1 or 2 years. It's important for him to develop and I think he'll do that best at West Brom without the pressures of being at a massive club
---
This This THIS.
There are very few players at the moment who have made big money moves at a young age and succeeded. It just adds completely unnecessary pressure. He's in a good place at the moment, banging them in with the pressure off and developing in to a good little player.
The problem is, if he goes for £20 million, he'll flop at the next place he goes, and go from being a big fish in a little pond to a distinctly average fish in the bigger pond.
Sorry that last comment is a little harsh - there is nothing to say he will flop at somewhere bigger, just that it is difficult for some players to make the step up and he could harm his development moving too early
He is a very good sign about the ever decreasing skill gap in the majority of the PL
He is a cracking player, already an important U21 player and I would guess he will soon make the jump to full international(after next summers U21 tournament)
Just goes to show that you dont need the hype surrounding a so called 'BIG CLUB' to make it.
I hope he will remain loyal to the club that have helped develop a special talent. He may well be tempted by a big money deal to support his family and make sure they are sucure cash wise.....but I am sure the max wage at WBA would allow him to do this also. In irvine he has a manager who helped nurture nurthure some good young talent
It's very difficult for the player. He's on form at the moment, but is that all it is? Form?
If a "bigger" team comes in, hands WBA a great sum, and hand Berinho a 4 year mega wage, that'll sort him financially. However, he could just fade away, in which case the latter part of his career could suffer.
Or does he stick with WBA, a see if he can improve, and really step. If he does, great job for player and club. If he doesn't he could possibly have missed out on his only chance for some big wages.

But Welbs was moving from Man Utd to Arsenal....
I think £20m would be great business for WBA.
Summer would be too early and not help our season at all. End of season
Cash in in Jan, could be the next Carroll but seriously, he's looked good the 2 times I've watched him V Spurs and United. Has he grown? Seems bigger
Summer
I don't know what's been up with me on this site past few days <confused>
He's been on fire since last season.
He'll soon make the jump to the senior team, even less talented players have been called up.
Just a matter of how long he'll stay with the babies now.
Saido could be forgiven for thinking we want rid of him. He is progressing well, playing regularly in a decent premier league side. He is getting decent service from the likes of Sess, Dorrans and Brunt. If he were to leave right now it would be to a top 4 side or say, Monaco who have shown interest previously. He would not get so much game time and it could harm his development.
Call me naive but I cannot see what he can gain by leaving in the next 6-9 months. I would love him to commit to WBA for life. Not going to happen I know but if anybody is going to make a shed load from bringing this lad on it should be us.
We've actually got a few 'Berahino's' coming up behind him from the academy.
He's about to be offered a big contract by WBA and should be on about £40k a week.
Should do him for a while...

Probably double his wages for starters, get European football, and play at a higher level.
We will know what his intentions are pretty soon then.
