To be honest any English teams fans acting in this way would be plastered all over the front pages all over the world! and Platini would be creaming himself over it...

doubt he will say anything about this!

well i am sorry and they should be punished.

but wearing colours abroad and acting like you are at home is not wise. anywhere in Europe you have to be very very careful so if you spend all day partying in an area and wearing colors you are going to be targeted by these sorts via social media.

all I'll say is they were lucky it was not italy as stabbings are not uncommon.

all everton can do is complain to UEFA but nothing will be done.

"We had to try and stop the Everton supporters inside from getting out to help because it would have got far worse. I went out to try and drag them in.

These fans had been in the area all day without any problems and were not causing any trouble. This kind of supporters 'camp' happens with most english clubs on nice away trips. Wearing team colours should not be a crime, should not mean you are attcked by hooded cowards

The same with everything, really. IMO racism would be taken far more seriously by the footballing governing bodies if it was rife in England.

The problem you have nowadays is that if there is trouble away from the ground it is no longer classed as hooliganism.

When our fans get in trouble away from the ground the press are all over it claiming we are the embarrassment in europe. Platini gets on his high horse and we are always to blame even if our fans have been peaceful

It was rife in England....20+ years ago, the same as trouble pre/post games. However this has been limited to very few occasions since then.

However fan on fan violence and racist abuse is rife on the continent....however is left untackled by Uefa as Platini has a fundamental dislike of the power the PL has over European football

==Well local police are to blame for letting it happen. However if this was done by English fans I am sure the football authorities would have something to say.

Possibly but they still couldn't do anything

They have nothing to do with blokes fighting in a pub

Now this breaks out!

I guess the police were not reacting to the Lille fans attack last night?

An Everton fan shot in the head with a rubber bullet, WTF!

This is pure class last night from Bayern and Roma fans last night despite Roma being thumped 7-1.
