Nah i don't know owt about you really, did just see you had lost 5 straight and hadn't scored in that time though.
All well and good sacking him, but who comes in?
Ahh, that isn't a bad shout to be honest, he isn't a bad manager despite the United fiasco.
Is he back in the frame for a job now then?
Dare say he is. We would probably take david hasselhoff right now ffs.
Both Moyes and Pulis would do better with the players we have. This is no vintage Villa team at all, but it should be mid table-ish. Lambert is the reason the players are not performing, and not dropping his favourites (Westwood, Gabby, Weimann).
Need a new manager, simple as that.
"Why wont he drop players that are playing crap"
Because there'd be no-one left on the pitch for villa if he did!
Moyes would be a shoe-in had Randy not recently given a huge contract extension to Lambert.
June 2018
That would be a £10m pay off.

So you want to drop Weimann, Agbonlahor and Benteke (because he's unfit granted)? With Kozak out injured you're basically suggesting that you want Bent to start who is a shadow of his former self or do you want to recall Helenius?
At the moment he only ting being spread out are Vile's buttcheeks and they're not even batting an eyelid......is that big bad bearded Roy sneaking up behind you or is it ...either way its one cearded bunt...

Know that one from experience do we?
How's Cleverley doing guys?
I thought we were quite well set up against QPR. Dropping Richardson and N'zogbia made sense on that small pitch, where they wouldn't have had the space to stretch the opposition. A front three of Benteke, Gabby and Weimann looked good on paper, to get at their dodgy defence. In overall play we did what was intended; we had 66% of the play, and when did we last have over 50%, or anywhere near?
Trouble was QPR played like they were playing away; defend like hell and hope for a quick break. Unfortunately it worked. We had chances; 16 shots with 6 on target, better than for a long time. But none in the net. Fact it is, we should have scored; Clark missed a blinder, for one thing. And their two goals were great, but it was our fault they got them. The plans were OK, the result wasn't.
Maybe Lambert should have been canny and gone for another defend and counter-attack approach. It might well have worked. Trouble is, even if it had he'd have received flak for playing like that. It's good that he didn't; against the weaker teams we have to play like we did last night, and I hope he continues that way.
So:
(1) Would Senderos, Hutton and Baker have made a difference? You bet. Clark is a liability, and Lowton though basically OK doesn't carry the same threat as Hutton. With Senderos and Vlaar in the middle of defence it's a different ball game.
(2) Should Gabby, Weimann and/or Benteke have been played? Benteke yes, he's not up to speed but this is the best way of getting hime there, and we need him there. Gabby and Weimann yes, because this game was one in which they ought to have shone if they are ever going to. Unfortunately they didn't.
(3) Sanchez? Not up to speed, but in time he could be great. He needed to play.
Where do we go from here? If the defence are all fit they're OK. We've got enough options in midfield of decent if not great players. It's the front line where we need a radical improvement. I'd still play Benteke. I haven't got the faintest whether Bent can still do it or whether he's past it. But if he can, I think he has to play. N'zogbia, Richardson, Cleverley and Westwood (and maybe even Sanchez) are all players who can pick him out. It's going to be a tough three matches. But not impossible. Provided the lads still have some confidence left.
Lambert? He's not going anywhere soon. Get used to it. If we're still in trouble at the end of this year, then that's a different matter.
I don't know why Villa are making a fuss. As has been said, the 4 games prior to QPR were always going to be difficult and it's no suprise that Villa got nil pts from them.
You've got Spurs soon so there is a chance of at least a point to steady the ship...
