Agree with that pretty much. Shame carrick isn't fully fit and Jones and falcao aren't fit as would have them ahead of RVP, rojo and Fellaini respectively

Hmmm… but we need to see more of Rojo first, right?

I still have have Herrera playing off RVP and Rooney than Fellaini ,even though the Belgium has done well of late.

Cant wait untill Carrick is back and we can have a more stable team with hopefully Blind and Carrick partnership with Herrera breaking forward.

Rooney will probably come in for Mata, and then which 2 out of Herrera, Fellaini and Januzaj. Too soon for Carrick, although I think he and Blind could form a real strong partnership in time, which will really benefit us defensively. Whatever the line-up, I actually feel pretty good about tomorrow's game.

For the last couple of seasons I've looked at both our teams and thought 'we could get a right doing' here, and unfortuately it hasn't been that great for us. However, we have some real quality now, a shame that Falcao is not available, although of course Silva is out for them. But regardless of who is available, I just have a feeling that we will get at least a draw - I know our team is still gelling, but I think in bigger games the minds are more focused and we will raise our level accordingly.

I feel we can all accept mata performance has been underwhelming.

I still am not a fan of fellani. I will rather play januzaj
ddg
rafael smalling rojo shaw
---------herrera Blind------
adnan rooney dimaria

Not a fan of Fellaini in our team. Herrera is twice the player and should be the first name on the team ahead of him.

Adnan offen flatters to deceive, with Fellini we'd arguably be better defending and from set pieces, but with Adnan he offers more more creativity. Tough one, I'd probably start fellinini swapping for Adnan later.

Got a feeling it could be prettty tight tomo.

And we were scoring more with the diamond formation. We have not played it for the past two weeks (was hoping Januzaj would have been used as a forward but he wasnt) A return to it might be risky but it would help us get at City who can be got at.

I also have a feeling that after an underwhelming performance against Chelsea, the 'real' Di Maria will show up tomorrow.

I will rather rely on us keeping the ball than rely on us defending set pieces

against chelsea fellani's contribution was overhyped. In general play he was at most decent nothing more. He did well with setpieces though

We have every chance if he does, might struggle a bit if he doesn't. Probably the only genuine top class world class player we have (that's fully fit).

Agreed with that team op, think we have a real chance tomorrow with Silva out and Clichy and Mangala looking laughable.

On another note I am just watching the Inter game and my god we got rid of Vidic at the right time, he's had a complete nightmare at Inter since joining. That injury in 2011 seems to have completely ruined him

I think both Vidic's and Rio's situations this season shows that it dosn't matter how good a player you are individually, you need to defend as a unit, it can take time getting that right, and that's of course what we are working on at the moment.

As for tomorrow, I just hope that RVP and Rooney show that they can play together, we now have players capable of giving them decent service, and there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to gel (I never bought the 'we make the same kind of runs etc' - 2 top quality players like them should be able to play together up front)
