They played pretty well though Biggish, first team to stop Ronaldo scoring in 13 games as well. Not bigging them up, but just saying the criticism is a bit harsh as the selection was vindicated.

The selection was picked for them to lose and they did, I think that's the point, that team were sent as lambs to the slaughter and credit to them they kept the score down, but they hardly had a attempt on goal and it was Rodgers basically scared to send out his first 11 in case they got hammered

Let's be honest. Real Madrid let them off the hook. Could have been five or six had they not been so crap in front of goal.

That wasn't down to Liverpool.

I think we are all supposed to be envious that Liverpool only lost 1-0 and as such will go in to the EL with anything less than a 2 goal margin of victory over Basel. That's assuming they win their next game.
