No irony there, net or otherwise.
We'd probably still get out of our CL group.
We did last year under Moyes!
Binky I am not sure if its irony you don't understand or that City performances in the CL are rubbish... either way not sure I care to inform you.
Arab, for some obsure reason seems to think you should have got something on Sunday - You did, a massive helping hand from Michael Oliver.
As for spending, you outspent us last year and finished 7th. You've outspent everyone so far this year and your 10th so I don't really see the irony.

..........................................................
I think it takes a bit more than one summer of higher spending to catch up...
Especially considering City have outspent us by a few hundred million in the past 10 years...
Maybe if you hadn't you might have a point.
Not sure what the arab comment is about either, is that directed to me? have you taken your medication?

Can't believe we didn't fecking get a point against you now, you was so there for the taking even with having an extra man.
So you were responding to a comment you had already responded to a few comments and a couple of hours back....
Now I will refer back to my question about if you have taken your medication...
Have to agree with your take on the game pal. Referee was bad and made too many bad mistakes in a game of this importance. At the same time, City were just as poor and unprofessional at the same level.
Perhaps they are reading too much of the hype about how good they are. Manchester undoubtedly have a great many outstanding players at the Etihad, it's time they got back to playing the way they can if they want to stay in the to three.
Well said the op agree with all you said.
We couldn't string two passes together.
Pellegrini cannot be held responsible for that shower of a performance, far too many "lazy" errors happening time after time.
Aguero, Milner and i suppose Hart aside, we were absolutely diabolical.
One thing that is plain obvious is if Silva doesn't play then City doesn't play.
Things need addressing asap or the season will be over.
Over to you Pellegrini.
The squad needs refreshing a bit more. Any amount of simplistic nonsense about net spend doesn't change that. Silva was a huge miss and there are certain areas that need strengthening if we are to do anything in Europe.
The contributions of the two Arsenal kids and Arab aside, a lot of good comments in this thread.
Agree with the comment that Yaya should have gone in the summer. I don't agree however that he is causing a problem in the dressing room.
In regards to the CL, it probably is largely because we are so rubbish in the competition that I just can't muster up any interest in it. And I suspect it's having that effect on the players themselves. They clearly have lost all confidence when it comes to the CL, and this is for me not helped by having two managers who are showing themselves to be not good enough to get to grips with it. We may have been hampered by difficult groups, yet that is no excuse to how poor we have been at the group stage this season, or indeed the season before last. Quite frankly it's embarrassing.
Indeed it is Ripley
Moaning about the referee, however diabolical, misses the point.
Not once this season have we played well, the odd bits of quality have shone through here and there but on the whole it's been laboured, passionless and lacking any spark whatsoever
I've got today to get that joke of a performance out of my head before I set off tomorrow down south for the QPR game,at the moment my £55 ticket seems an awful lot of money to pay for what's being offered up
Not happy
Incredible how reliant you've become on Silva.
Despite you still having a strong squad I don't think you've done that well in the market since 2012.
Think we did ok the summer before last season Darren, but needed to do the same again this one.
The restrictions really did hurt us.
Wasting £44 million on Fernando and Mangala hasn't helped
Neither are an upgrade on what we had before
Lescott is a better player than Mangala on what I've seen so far
Fernando has been terrible might aswell have gone for Lee Cattermole, Mangala is struggling but he is young and the PL is a big step up from the Portugese league he needs time.
I dunno, melts. That money could have been better spent, in my opinion, and it still doesn't match up to 2012.
Arguably the best signing of the lot was Demichellis, despite the stick he gets after his poor start.
I'm not that big a fan of Fernandinho, though I get that he's an important player.
Navas is average and Negredo and Jovetic have been poor buys thus far.
I'm aware we've not done much better in the market. But it feels that now you've actually bought your way into being one of the elite you've not really exercised that status to push on to the next level.
Negredo is the difference between our present form and how we were playing 12 months ago. He hasn't been replaced whislt Jovetic had had one good game since August.
Negredo poor buy? Are you on crack sir?
£20m player that was good for about six months then sent on loan to Valencia, yes I'd say so.
He was £16m and scored 23 goals before his injury.
Without Negredo we would not have won the league and his goals helped us get through the group stages of the CL aswell.
His partnership with Aguero was fantastic they linked up very well and if it hadn't been for him being homesick and FFP he'd still be here.
Took to the league better than Falcoa
He started brilliantly and then went shiiit.
Of course he helped you win the league. Berbatov helped us win the league. Wouldn't call that a good signing either.
Granted FFP hasn't helped you there.

He was out injured for months you eejit, it's like me saying Carrick has been your worst player so far this season.
