To be honest, I think his wages could be prohibitive. I'm sure he was on a decent salary at Blackburn and, even after the takeover, I don't think we could come close to matching it.
In any case, he wasn't a first team started in his loan spell, and when you also take his temperament into account, I think he's too big a risk.
I'd prefer to see the money spent on young Scottish talent that we could develop and sell on for a decent fee a few years down the line.
Animal he does look a decent player, can hold the ball up and seems to be able to handle the big games. I would give him another season.
I see Diouf a bit like Gazza loads of baggage and a bit of a risk. Difference is I always like Gazza but must admit my views on Diouf was just short of the views our wonderful friends in the runners up position had. But he came here and as I believe when whoever puts on that Rangers top we should support them. His temperament here was good considering the attention he was getting and play was ok but could be a lot better. Its that, that makes me say if we could get him we should. We could see a better player next season.Wages thats for him to sort out if he wants to come he has to be realistic. But he says he would come.
Personally I would let him go. I mean it was great when he got them all wound up, but he was average at best In the games he played. For me we need pace in the team and Diouf slows our play down by dropping to deep.
Thanks for the giggles Dioufy but you need to be on your way.
Apart from the goal he scored in Portugal - fitba wise I cant remember what he contributed. he made more headlines for what he done without the ball !!!!
he was good for a laugh (brown and lenny) but fitba wise would rather see the wages spent on Conway who would contribute more to the fitba team
A class act in so far as he has great ability to hold up the ball when required, but something of a luxury and would definitely prefer younger and fitter.
I agree with Scooby, he was a good laugh with the lenny n the broony gestures but football wise he never done much apart from score that goal in protugal (and slow up our play)
I would rather see it spent on a acey winger, ie conway!
hit it on the head scooby boy
