Time to buy a prayer mat I think.
I Think just about everyone saw this injury coming. Apart from our medical team, obviously.
Wenger didn't buy any more defenders
He'll be out until well after the new year with this. Achilles is an absolute horrible injury
i would not be surprised if he doesn't play again this season, knowing our medical staff.
He is out for the season, it is so obvious.
He will probably be back in training in January then have a relapse Feb 1st .
Even in the very unlikely event that Arsene brings in a defender on the 1st of Jan, a great deal of damage may have been done to our season already .
Sad really.
I may have lost belief in Wenger fairly long ago, but at least I always respected him and his history at this club. The preventable defensive crisis he's plunged us into this season has made me lose even the respect too. You've got to wonder what kind of senile loon goes into a season with 6 defenders. Just TWO injuries have put us in a crisis. Such ineptitude for even an amateur, nevermind an £8m-a-year experienced manager.
In a long line of poor decisions he's made over the years, this is the most moronic of all. What a clown.
The best we can hope for is Debuchy coming back in, or Bellerin doing enough to impress, so that Chambers can move centrally. Even that still feels makeshift.
I can't see koscielny playing before the new year
Wenger has seriously facked this up
We all know how this ends, Kos won't be seen again til next season and that is me being optimistic. I feel bad for him, it's Wenger's fault this has happened. He knew Kos had a dodgy achilles but played him anyway, rather then go out and actually buy a defender who could play instead of him. Kos will probably never be the same, career ruined because of Wenger.
Why can't we see chambers at CB and bellerin at RB for some games? At least we'd have players playing in their preferred position then. I thought he looked decent. Good enough at least to use against the lower teams you'd think.

Stop it, you're being too sensible.
Think we all knew Kos' injury would be more serious than the club tried to make out to begin with.
As already mentioned, not sure why, as he's recently been officially promoted to the first team squad, Bellerin hasn't had more of a run out, especially considering fellow recently propmoted defender, Issac Hayden, has been ruled out for 6 weeks.
Looking at all this makes the loaning of Coquelin who, despite probably being in the last few months of his Arsenal career, was still at least an option to cover the full back positions, utterly bizarre.

Agree, Chambers may be inexperienced but he is bless with more of the skillset required for a CB than Monreal.
I see it getting ugly with the fans at the Emirates if we are beaten by Manu in a couple of weeks
Koscielny will be dead within 18 months and that's be being optimistic

Sadly I have to agree Sheriff, despite his ability Wenger makes too many bizarre decisions to be a great manager.
