i would like to see us in january ship a few out. i think we have a bit of dead wood that we kept for sentimental reasons thinking they would step up and they just havent.

upson
bakayogo
hammond
taylor fletcher
dare i say it nugent?

but i agree today was better and realistically this was probably one of the hardest games so far for us probably behind chelsea away. They had conceded once at home this season, i think have only conceded 5? anyway and score for fun today, i just felt we were playing a bit too deep the last 25 mins. we couldnt get out our own box in the end and that just invites mistakes and in the end a goal.

set pieces we seem terrible at for a premier league club. matty james corners hardly ever result in us testing the keeper, i thought cambiassso was fantastic when he was taking any of our set pieces.
defending set pieces is also i big concern at one stage did we not concede 4 or 5 corners on the spin? Thats not good enough at any level.

I think Cambiasso needs better support as well in my view. He works hard to break up play and win the ball back, plays decent passes and diagonal balls only for his team mates to lose possession all too often.

Ball retention was better today but still needs work....QPR beating Man City by the way which isn't good for us

We have played better defensively in the last to games and lost.
We where never going to beat Soton but when you here the numbers no shot on target 6 games without a goal 1 point out of 18.

Then its hard to take any positives out of our position we need at least two quality strikers and a premiership winger if we ant to play 4-4-2 IMO

What I wouldn't give for Charlie Austtin....

The tale of two substitute strikers, one comings on and smashes a couple and it's Goodnight Vienna, the other comes on misses a sitter and were up the creek without a paddle....

Wood was no better with that one on one than Nugent was against Chelsea

Nige is a defender............ It is really all we do, today St.mary's etc.... But what about the Burnley game?

He has been great for us but do not know if he can keep us up.We can all see there was not enough investment in the summer, so can he and the owners.

Nige said 'We just could not score today.' Maybe it has something to do with the fact we did not have one shot on target!

I cannot believe this is pretty much the same Leicester team that dominated the championship last season.

I cannot agree that there were a lot of positives from today's game, clutching at straws in my book. We are clueless, have no creativity and cannot keep a clean sheet. It's a lot of huff and puff and not a lot else.

Some of the stats for this season are dreadful. Take a look at the last 4 away games, something like 7 shot on target. This is woeful stuff. It's great to see some positive comments but take off the rose tinted glasss and look at it matter of fact, pure and simply not good enough.

Whether it is a lack of activity in the summer, manager thinking the players are better than they are, no creativity or poor team management we are in a mess and odds on to go back down.

Serious questions now have to be asked about this season and the direction it is taking....

Sunderland huge now. Lets go 442 with wingers. Id hate to get relegated playing the way we are.

AJB did you actually watch the full 90 minutes yesterday? Because if you didn't you're in no position in my view to say they were absolutely no positives from yesterday.

Listening on Radio Leicester or even just reading the stats off the match report gives you half the picture. Those of us who watched it, while not pleased with the result, could at least see an improved performance. That's a positive, like if or not.

I am in no way saying things are good or there are not serious issues, however i can recognise a better performance and more work ethic when I see it.

Phil Thomson on Sky Sports did say that Leicester defended terrifically and were unfortunate to lose so it's not just me saying this

We just aren't good enough to get points at St Mary's end of. We are good enough however to beat Burnley and West Brom and it's those results that are also hurting us now

BS. Phil Thompson said we 'defended well..... That is all we are doing.

The pace on breaks is gone, we are walking up the park. That is until we lose position.

This should be of concern for Nige as defending will only get you one point at best.

AJB1 - we're not odds-on to go down. The bookies currently have us staying up at the expense of Burnley, QPR and Palace. Not that this won't change if we lose the next game!

QPR are starting to look good, they put 2 past 'pool and Man C and could of won both games.Sad to say but they will finish above us.Just hope that is not 17th.

Blackstar - sorry mate but I disagree, give me your positives. That we defended well ( for 70 mins?), that Schlupp was better at left back or perhaps something else. It was pure containment with zero creativity.

QPR are better than us, they play with a desire to win. Burnley went for it yesterday, and won. We are not good enough to just contain and if we introduced a bit of flair then we could cause problems.

I think we need something like Knockeart to give us something creative, defensively not great but we need something going forward.

AJB1- Agree, we at least had a go in the first fives games. Now we are trying to do what? We are void of ideas and have no style of play.Defending will not win games.....

Grow a pair Nige and attack! We could not do any worse....

Guys you have to separate yesterday's game from the likes of burnley, palace and west Brom. Even Man U.

If you go to St Mary's on a run of 5 games without a win and try and attack then the saints will muller you. Look at what they did to Sunderland.

Nigel's approach yesterday was right. Should we have created more? Yes but this season will not be defined on picking up no points at St Mary's. It will be defined by what we do at home and against sides around us and that's where we must improve

At least yesterday looked like a return to earlier performances, but you had to watch it to appreciate that

BS- Having watched all the games (except Swansea, at a wedding, maybe a good thing by all accounts.) The Burnley and West Brom games were at home and terrible.Although we did score in both lol.

It is not losing, which is bad.More over the way we are losing. We do not even create anything, no shots on target and the counter attack at pace has gone.

I can not see where a goal is going to come from, neither mind a win!
